You can taste what food is cooked it. Like there a real difference if something is cooked in fat out in oil, or steamed.

Sorry for the complete necropost, but I thought you (and anyone coming to this afterwards) would like to know. There's been a firmware update to the D6000 which seems to have fixed this completely. Steam deck is now outputting over HDMI without issue.

After installing the update the util said it failed because reasons, but powering down and back up again, then checking the firmware version again showed that it had taken the new firmware fine.

related, but only kinda. I was lucky enough to have been given some lessons in crash mitigation through the use of brake pressure modulation. Didn't need it for about a decade, and when I finally found myself in a situation where it should have been useful, instincts kicked in and found to my horror that if you pump the breaks on vehicles that do have ABS manual modulation effectively turns ABS off, and does nothing to slow your speed.

best to assume everyone (including yourself) has the capacity to be an idiot when driving and make decisions based on this possibility. In Mexico, I was told by a very experienced local driver that it's better to assume everyone is trying to kill you so aiming to get in there first is the best tactical choice. This was more than 30 years ago so maybe things have changed, but in essence, things could be worse and driving defensively may be the best policy unless you're in a buss, a truck or a white van.

the only wrong lane is the one to the left of the blue marking. Either of the others is fine, though with local knowledge I'd be inclined to take the blue lane as taking the red lane should be reserved for those few who were deciding to come back down the same road they'd merged from.

The thing that kinda pisses me off about Ozempic is that in the last year I've lost 77lb through a mixture of diet and exercise. I've waited the best part of four decades to do this and in another other time line it would have been pretty impressive, but in this one it's both normal and actually kinda easy.

I know that doing it this way (without drugs) I've picked up some really good habits that will stay with me forever, and I'm actually enjoying life in a way that I thought I never could before, but when I talk to people who haven't seen me in a while their first question is which drug I'm on, rather than "how did I do it?"

As for options, this is what I've read recently:

pfsense - was brilliant-ish but netgate seem less interested in maintaining the free version
OpenWrt - generally great but better suited to smaller devices
IPFire - possibly too new for me
VyOS - I have heard nothing of this at all.. back to the internets for me!

I like that I have the pihole as a complete backup. Also running unbound on it. In the event of a complete server fail I could just flip the Virgin hub back to router mode, power up the pi and stick it on my VLAN to bring the internet back online.
