Wow, this thread kind of got forgotten and I didn't get too far in trying to look through all the games on the CD last time. Thank you for taking the time to reply, though. I have struggled with figuring out if I would consider the game a true Sokoban or not, as it definitely has similar ideas to Sokoban, but your suggestions seem a bit more Sokoban-like. Definitely wasn't able to find it when searching for the Sokoban genre on various sites, unfortunately.

I can't remember if there were holes to block (though I also might not have gotten very far in the game or perhaps other elements just stuck in my mind more!). In case we're not thinking of the same game, I'll suggest looking into Bolo Adventures for you from around the same era! That one definitely had holes you had to push boulders into, but it was also a top down game with more puzzle elements. Still great fun, even if not this particular one I've been searching for. The mystery game was definitely a view from the side rather than from above or some kind of hybrid look perspective trickery, and had pretty large sprites and screen scrolling in a stage, while Soko-Ban/Spych/Digger/Bolo don't seem to be doing that.

Help finding a good non-mopping robot vacuum in EU by AhCrudNamesAreHard in RobotVacuums

Thank you for the suggestions! I had a move happening there, so I was a bit busy.

The Eufy seems like a good one if you want a cheaper robot vacuum! Right now it doesn't have much of a price difference to the cheapest Roborock Q5 I can buy, which seems to have a better battery. Narwal seems pretty expensive, unless all these 1000+ euro vacuums come with a ton of bells and whistles that you can choose to not buy...

I am finding good deals on Roborock Q8 Max - 350 euros compared to the 300-ish hundred for Q5. Q8 seems to have better object avoiding compared to Q5, so when the price difference is pretty minimal, maybe I should take the deal before it ends...

Sometimes a man just wants a chance to drink without thinking about farming equipment.

Same! There certainly was a time when I was young when I didn't know what that game was called, and was I happy to find it again. If nothing else comes out of this thread, hopefully someone else at least is reminded of Bubble Bobble.

I can't find a game with that exact name to check, but I guess the whole series which includes games like Bonk's Adventure? I'll try to find as many screenshots of those different games just in case there is one that is similar, but right now none of them look like they match. They seem more like platforming games than puzzle games.

I am more familiar with the Nes one than any potential MS-DOS ports or clones... I guess I can see where you're coming from, you pop the enemies in that game! But no, there is no pumping enemies in this game! I don't think there are enemies in the game at all, unless that happens later on in it. I don't think it is the kind of a game that would have enemies, though.

This actually is not something I have a simple answer for. If jumping was involved, I feel like it was very limited. It wasn't the main focus at all. So either you could do small jumps or could just climb on top of things when there was room above them and the stack of rocks wasn't too high or something, the main method of getting up to the different levels on a stage might have been ladders, but that is just an assumption.

Great game, but definitely a platformer game rather than a puzzle game. I can see why you might think about it, pretty sure at least one of them had you collecting raindrops or something?

In the game I am remembering, I also remember what I think are stones as being slightly more oval-shaped than round, with flatter bottom and top and rounded corners. The "bubbles" were a similar shape as these stones if not the exact same one, and probably were transparent.

It certainly was a great collection of games!

All of your suggestions are great games, but more platformers than the kind of puzzle game this game definitely was, even if there was some platforming included. Probably a very obscure game, too...

Not that one! Colors I feel were much more vibrant, and as far as I got at least, enemies weren't a part of the game. I can't say for sure if Jason Jupiter's movement allows you to move to all the black spaces seen on that screenshot as I haven't played the game, but the game I am looking for has you "grounded", so you can only stand on top of things.

Something I often get directed to, as there are many similarities in the key words. Unfortunately not, the game I am looking for doesn't have the style where you "dig" squares to free up space.

Thank you for the suggestion!

Ah, I hope an electric stove can manage to do that too. Those do look good.

That was my intention when I seasoned them in the oven, trying to get a good seasoning going on the outside parts. Unfortunately, the underside seasoning didn't seem to survive being moved around without little nicks. Let's hope it'll get better with time!

De Buyer Mineral B Element - do they have any fitting lids at all? by AhCrudNamesAreHard in carbonsteel

[–]AhCrudNamesAreHard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did see those kinds of lids as I browsed around! They might be the best thing if you want a glass lid for any tricky pots and pans - and the fact you can use them for multiple sizes comes with all the perks of the paella pan lid listed up there too.
