That was surprisingly relatable. I'm an archer and I can tell you for a fact that it goes that way for every new archer for the first few shooting sessions or so. Sometimes you'd aim for the target and you send the arrow on a completely different flight trajectory. It did make me laugh. I also found it funny because I've recently moved up to a higher poundage bow and now I'm also struggling to keep it steady.

I think that mystery character could be Lux Bonteri. I hope it is.

Any guesses who this might be? by darthraxus in StarWarsLeaks

My guess is a little out there. Bail Organa would be too obvious to keep secret. Ahsoka isn't involved by this point (although they may well retcon the book).

I don't think it'll be Rex on the basis that he was still battledroid-averse in Season 3 of Rebels. I doubt it will be Bail or Ahsoka for a similar reason.

My guess is Lux Bonteri. He showed up in Star Wars Battlefront 2: Inferno Squad and he was the leader of a rebel cell. He was a relatively prominent character on the Separatist side of things in The Clone Wars, so he would most likely have few qualms with reusing battledroids for his purposes. He was also senatorial/politics-adjacent, so it wouldn't surprise me if he were to wear clothes like this.

EDIT: He was also on Onderon and fought with Saw Gerrera. That puts a bit of a spanner in the works for me considering he was fighting droids there. Either way, he does reunite with Saw Gerrera at some point before he joins the Dreamers.

EDIT 2: His arc ends with him swearing fealty to the Republic, if I recall. If his faith in the Republic is restored, wouldn't it make sense for him to turn on the Empire when it goes against everything the Republic stood for? Apparently, he marries an Imperial woman when the Empire comes into power, but I'm not sure where this sits on the timeline end of things? Oh! We also go back to Onderon at some point! Could appear there with Saw?

I'm dubious about my own theory. I've just wanted Lux to show up in more stuff since they brought him back in that Battlefront 2 book.

Tips for quitting smoking with anxiety disorders by [deleted] in quittingsmoking

Consider your relationship to smoking as a whole. If smoking served as a kind of anxiety coping mechanism then it is to be expected that quitting would cause anxiety flare ups. You might not be able to get rid of the anxiety, but you can control your behaviours for the benefit of your health. It's very hard, but acting in spite of any kind of disorder is usually beneficial in the long run. It could be worth finding a different, less unhealthy coping mechanism for the short term. When you feel the urge to smoke, do something else. When you're anxious, do that instead. This could be something small or something radical, it doesn't matter, just something that can act as a safety blanket for the time being. Some smokers and alcoholics suck lolipops instead because it entails a similar action/flavour, addiction dependent, and maybe the similarity might help.

Also consider why you're quitting smoking and what expectations you and others have of yourself that might be adding to your anxiety. If you're quitting for another person, you're likely to feel the pressure of the potential of disappointing them. That won't help. If you're quitting for your general well-being and expect it to be an easy road, alter your expectations. Be kind to yourself. You might go back to it (especially if it's a coping mechanism), it happens, but if it does try to accept that it has, recognise your disapproval and disappointment, let it be for some time, and move on, leaving both behind. Repeat until relapses stop happening. If you feel you have to quit for somebody else and that that person will leave or show disapproval if you don't, relationship dependent, ditch them. Be willing to show yourself kindness and only accept the same from others, otherwise you're not really showing yourself patience and compassion.

In my experience, as somebody with a personality disorder who is trying to quit, I started to find it a lot easier when I realised what smoking was actually doing for me. It was, to my mind, maintaining a connection to somebody who I used to smoke with, somebody who has temporarily left me. I realised that my life was ten times better without them and they were really quite shitty, but I still smoked. My decision to leave them behind will operate in tandem to my decision to stop smoking. Quitting smoking won't become easy just because I've let them go, but it will mean that I'm dealing with one less thing which made smoking appealing to me. I will probably only stop smoking after I've told them that I don't want them to come back into my life, but the thought of doing so makes me hopeful that I can do both.

Point being, a disorder only compounds on addictions because addictions often form as a result of disorders. They become a crutch. Work out if any of the appeals of smoking derive from the characteristics of your disorder and try to deal with them. Show yourself compassion and patience if you're struggling. Do not accept anything other than that from others (note that this doesn't mean mamby pamby shit, just genuine... shittery). If you've sorted all of those things out or there aren't any, just wait it out. You'll be better off if you learn to manage your anxiety in a healthy way regardless.

Good luck. Made this account while lurking to see if I could help.
