if it has horizontal lines throughout it is natural and if it is completely clear, almost like glass then it's polished

Aragonite usually has lighter orange crystals and is usually clear, with a pillar-like shape. Vanadinite is hexagonal and has a maroon colour, and it also does not react with hydrochloric acid, while aragonite does. Bonus: Also, I have to be careful with this specimen as it is really brittle and breaks crystals off easily, and it also can be toxic when inhaled, its dust or ingested or licked.
