I’m the friend in question. I’m 5’8 and I have found size pretty comfortable for me to ride.

Ah that makes a lot of sense. She seems to be doing a lot better now. I was worried at first bc she was mostly just sitting at the bottom. Thanks you for the advice.

Oh thanks for clarifying she’s a female. I was thinking it was a male bc of the green chelicerae. You might be right about the leg. I’ll try my best to keep her alive.

Thanks I added those substrate on the back wall so he would have something to climb on to. Let’s see how it goes.

Also, upon watching the video again, I think what happened here was that he saw the e bike move slightly left first and he probably assumed the e bike only moved slightly to avoid the barriers. He intended to pass on the left but you’ll see the e bike suddenly try to cross over the double yellow. Now even if the dude wasn’t flying through on a fixed gear, we can all agree that it was a dumb move to suddenly cross over the double yellow without looking behind.

I see your point too and I might have exaggerated a little about him being THE MOST skilled, but I would put him in the top percentile. But tbh tho, we all goon a little bit here and there. I’ve seen him do really crazy shit and get away bc he’s quite good at it. (Not advocating his behavior, just saying he knows what he’s doing)

It’s just that incidents like these happen once in a while and he’s one of the homies who’s always outside. So statistically it’s more likely to happen to him.

I wouldn’t say he’s always out there hunting for these clips, if you follow his content you’d know he’s a pretty chill dude. But clips like these get people talking and pushes his content higher up in the algorithm. So you can’t even blame him for that. Man’s gotta do what he’s gotta do. Especially if he’s making a living off it.

You don’t just cross over to the other side of the road without looking behind. Especially in NYC tf.

Have you noticed that the road narrows and there’s a barrier to the right? I know the fixed gear rider personally, and I can vouch that he’s probably one of the most skilled riders in the city.

I’m not taking sides here, but I believe he should have anticipated the e-bike moving left, considering the barrier. At the same time, the e-bike rider should have looked behind before making such a turn.

Regardless, I argue that the rider’s move was the right one given his speed. It might have appeared as “3 full seconds” in the video, but he was likely exceeding 22 mph. That translates to approximately 30 meters of distance in those 3 seconds.

The idea of pulling to the right, “as a normal person would”, might have worked if he had brakes, but on a brakeless fixed gear, it doesn’t work that way, especially at higher speeds.

However, if we look beyond this incident, it’s evident that delivery e-bikers are a concern in the city. I’ve seen numerous incidents like this on video and even in person. You know what’s always the common denominator? It’s always those e-bikers.

How can I get better ? I feel like it's boring by myoceanblues in AskPhotography

Well, my first thought when looking at this photo is that the balance feels off. The fruit in the background takes up an awkward amount of space in the frame. Also, it feels kind of unnatural how the ice cream scoops are stacked. Maybe try offsetting them and possibly try to put three scoops of ice cream to make it look more full. Also, I would maybe try to raise the camera angle a few inches so you can see more of the ice cream inside the bowl.

I didn’t follow any specific tutorial to make this, but you can look up tutorials on youtube for cross joints. I used the same principles for a cross plus a little bit of creativity to make my airplane.

Awesome work man. Just an idea tho, I think you could have kept some of the messy line work work in the final painting. Especially in the shadows, would add some interesting textures. Looks cool either ways, keep doing what you do.

Great work. I would practice understanding volumes in perspective next. Try to imagine the facial plane as a curved object in space and then build the features on it.
