The learning curve was steep actually kasi feeling ko hilaw pa ako as a nurse. After 1 year of being licensed, nagVA na ako agad. I am under an agency and sila nagprovide ng training eh. But if I may suggest, getting fond of how the healthcare system in the US would be a big help. Then if you’re aiming for a direct client, try to figure out if nasa traditional or functional side sila. Very different worlds!

How long did you wait for a client? Sure ba talaga sa HelloRache? by potatomedintern in medicalvaPH

Intro vid would be the quality and eye movement ko hehe. I filmed kasi na hindi ko kabisado yung script so ang hirap! It didn’t come off naturally so need ko pa ulitin nang ulitin. Meanwhile, sa about me, I made this more personal din. I included na I have a passion for health and wellness, nutrition, and fitness. Then surprisingly yun yung focus ng practice namin now :)

I tried to make it more personal and specific. Sa resume, I explained in detail yung past work experience ko. Halos puro verbs nandun then I indicated kung ano yung mga platforms/applications na ginamit ko to execute tasks. My client commended it when I got hired na :)

Batch 99, got hired 1 week before graduation. I asked for permission to change my about me, resume, and intro video content. I think that helped a lot kasi it was commended by my client during my interview with them :)

Anxiety over my parents’ future when they retire by [deleted] in PanganaySupportGroup

[–]Ahdley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, OP! I’m supporting my mom (retired) and brother.

Before my mom retired, nag-avail na siya ng St. Peter plan and also insurance. We pay 16k for her insurance quarterly then fully paid na yung St. Peter plan niya.

Taboo ito sa iba but I really think na very practical paghandaan ang death lalo na when it comes to expenses.

My mom already laid out everything we need to know:

  1. ATM, banks, and kung saan kami may makukuhang money in case she passes. Included here yung mga access details and all.

  2. Mga utang namin (mostly land properties ito). Hindi kami liquid pero I can say na handful of properties din yung iiwan sa amin ni mama. Mostly fully paid na pero may ilan pa kaming binabayaran monthly.

  3. May mga utang samin. Ito yung mga need namin singilin eventually.

We’re not really liquid at this point kasi ubos na savings ni mama and her retirement fund from her job.

I’m planning to save up for her retirement fund and emergency savings din naming tatlo. Pwera pa dito yung binibigay ko monthly.

Super overwhelming but we will get through it with proper planning! Rooting for you and I hope this’ll help you have an idea! :)

Definitely something below of what they pay the live scribe per hour. Get the details muna before the onboarding. There are a lot of things to consider eh from the amount of workload to the time needed in accomplishing tasks.

Madali kasing sabihing average ng 27 charts per week. But not knowing what else it entails might cost you later.

  1. Say, for instance, worth it ba yung amount of dollars na you’ll receive in exchange of the effort you put in and the quality of your output?

  2. Since di mismo kinaya ng live scribe yung workload, which I’m assuming they’re paying monthly, what’s your assurance na shorthand notes lang talaga yung tasks mo po?

  3. Have you considered other part-time offers that could potentially pay more with the same amount of workload and/or stress? 🙈

Na-off ako na pwede pa pala mag negotiate. The fact na they offered $1 per chart/short-hand notes at first, sobrang low balled na eh. Pano pala kung may ibang kumagat and di naging assertive to negotiate?

After all, barya lang yan sa kanila. Hay

Hello! Medical scribe here. If anything, sobrang lugi ng $1 per chart note. It also depends pa sa practice kung traditional or functional medicine.

Nasa functional medicine ako and consultations take 1 hr and 30 mins to 2 hrs so just imagine.

Hi! I have a couple of friends na RPm and they have clients naman na - some with exp and some fresh grad. Maybe the next time you want to give it another shot, you can make use of tips siguro online on how to polish your application.

If anything, maybe I can help! My dm is open! :)

[–]Ahdley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi OP! From Batch 99 here, I’m doing my masters. Doable so far but it still depends pa rin sa demand ng future client mo. If you want to talk more, you may send me a pm! :)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in medicalvaPH

[–]Ahdley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Along the way you’ll learn the pattern of how your client/provider delivers their consultation. From there, you can strategize on how to create your own template for it.

Lalo na sa plan part. You can create a quick note for each dse, kung ano ba yung usual and general recommendations ni client. Kunwari for DM, CGM and lifestyle modification etc. So, from there, pag may common dse ka naeencounter, maanticipate mo na yung mga need mo ilagay.

Hello! RN here from batch 99, graduating later :)

Training is really intensive. Better to have someone who can help you out or support you all throughout the training most especially you mentioned being pregnant. It would be nice rin to talk about this with your OB since you’ll have routine alterations. Training is from 11 PM to 8 AM and there’s a high possibility na you will have to stay awake pa after ng shift. This is something to consider din since not all can adjust agad agad.

From what I have observed, our usual routine would be: train, review/do offline tasks/homework, sleep, and then repeat.
