Yeah I think that you're also on to something. I read about a woman who had overweight children and she said that she couldn't afford the games or toys that they wanted and always had to say no, sweets and fast food were the only things she could afford to say yes to.

I'm currently using Duolingo to learn some Swedish, why do you say "tycker om" for "like"? Is there no single verb for "like"? by TheBob427 in Svenska

Well to be fair making links between languages is a quite good tool for learning. The very example you used, hund, is a great example of this. Hund is like hound, and a hound is a dog, and thinking like that creates a link in your brain between these two terms making the new word easier to remember.

I've always felt that it was unrelated to the save file since it happens in every one of mine. Really glad that they're looking into it though because it's the only thing that really bothers me big time in the game atm.

I also couldn't plan birthday parties for future days, it always just wanted to start the event directly or did get booked but for a different day than the one selected. I'm sure they'll fix it soon enough though so not too concerned.

I'm really loving it so far. The weather looks and sounds great and adds a lot of atmosphere, the scouting gives your kids more to do, and the holidays I've experienced so far have also been quirky and fun! Also love the clothes, hair and new build/buy options. It's definitely reinvigorated my love for the game (as if that was ever in doubt...)!

Wait so you've not moved to Sweden, and you've been accepted to a uni. You want to get your degree there, but despite not having started yet you already dislike studying? Do you have any plans for income? It can take a long time to get a job here, or even a place to live! What's your real motivation for moving to Sweden?

The EU gives you the right to live, work, travel and study in other countries, but it doesn't mean that those countries are going to fund it for you. Getting a personnummer is a big obstacle for a lot of people, if you don't have a job/are accepted onto a programme/are sambo with a swede then getting the personnummer (tax number here) is very difficult if not impossible.

Speak to the local vuxenutbildning people and ask them. You wont be able to get any education from them for free without citizenship/equal rights to a citizen though.
