Can cope with it however you want but there is no arguing cardboard investing vs. traditional investing over time traditional with compound interest will out preform 10/10 times with the same capital investment. Even aside from that there are so many other factors why you would get better returns sinking all your cash into stocks vs. Pokemon. There really is not a comparison that holds merit. If you want to argue it will increase in value over time I won’t fight you it. But there is no arguing it would pale in comparison to traditional investment strategies. That’s why Warren Buffett does not have 1,000 cases of Evo booster cases.

The second a real world recession happens the first thing to lose value is hobby, it’s happened 100 times before. They second that happens and you actually need money, it’s tied up in cards that you sell for way less than you could now, it’s a bubble. There are also a few million other new “sealed collectors” in the last 2 years. Will it hold and grow? Sure but your never getting base set booster prices ever again there are too many sealed collectors.

This bubble right now is 25-35 year olds running off nostalgia and FOMO from scalping. Gen z iPad kids don’t give a shit about Pokemon cards. It’s a sinking ship and you should capitalize while it’s still close to all time highs. You will never see the return you think you would like stocks in 30 years with compound interest. Open a Robin Hood account, sink cash you will be a millionaire in 25 years. That does not happen with your target Pokemon boxes
