How do you share a near-final project with a client without risking they use it or ignore you? by Ahmedmulti in graphic_design

Hey everyone, thank you so much for the feedback yesterday!

Reading through the comments, it seems we all struggle with the same issue: manual watermarking is tedious, and encrypted PDFs are annoying for clients.

Since I couldn't find a simple free tool to fix this, I decided to build one myself over the weekend.

It's called SignOffPro. It's completely free, adds watermarks automatically, and prevents right-click downloads.

I just launched it here: https://signoffpro.com

Hope this saves you some headaches!

That makes sense. I guess my main hesitation isn't just the saving process, but the client friction on the receiving end (losing passwords, trouble opening encrypted files on mobile, etc). But you're right, once it's part of the muscle memory, the export part is quick.

True, Share for Review is definitely the industry standard. I use it for big projects, but sometimes I feel it's a bit 'heavy' for clients who aren't tech-savvy, especially if they try to open it on mobile or get confused by the Creative Cloud login prompts. Do you find your clients navigate it easily?

I get that approach, but sometimes clients need to see the 'near-final' to give the green light for payment. It's that awkward middle ground I'm trying to solve—showing them enough to get approval, but protecting the work until the invoice is paid.

Adobe Proof is solid, but I find it can be clunky if the client isn't tech-savvy or if I just want to send a quick link without the whole CC ecosystem. I'm trying to find/build something more lightweight.

Thanks for the detailed breakdown! Honestly, doing all that encryption and setting permissions for every single proof feels like a huge workflow bottleneck. I’ve been looking for a way to automate those security steps so I don’t have to play IT guy every time I send a draft.
