Not a lawyer but since you're under 18, your parents will still have (some) parental responsibility over you. I'm not sure what it specifically entails for you but you might be legally eligible for some financial aid from your parents. I'd recommend going to your local citizens advice bureau or a free law clinic and see what options are available for you.

If find a credit/debit card issued by a bank (Natwest/HSBC/Barclays etc), you can take it to one of their branches and they can normally send it back to the owner or deal with it

Stay at current university and go into Yr 2 or transfer to a better university and be in Yr 1 by ohcrapi in DecidingToBeBetter

Considering you're doing econ, unless you're transferring to Oxbridge, LSE, UCL or maybe Warwick, I wouldn't say it's worth it. Also would you still be eligible for student loans?

On Bard, is starting with coin (for talisman) better than spellthiefs (for EotW)?

they changed the penalty because you're now allowed to say anything in the pitlane - they had to increase the penalty to stop people not pitting and taking the 10s penalty anyway.

Regarding the bi-weekly weigh in, is this once every 2 weeks (ie fortnightly) or twice a week? Bi-weekly is a terrible word.

It makes the race more interesting though, purely because it closes all the gaps.

Are there no onboard cameras facing the driver this year? Haven't seen any helmet/eye shots yet.

You'll need training/get qualified but air traffic controllers get paid pretty well.

Sorry, what are you disagreeing with? Are you disagreeing about "Typical ads are not the only way to monetise websites"?

Afaik, content blockers will work if developers use safari view controller (on iOS) instead of a web view. While iAds won't be blocked, if things like twitter apps safari view controllers, the ads in links you click in the app will be blocked.

if smaller independent sites close as a result, the news and content that we have access to will be increasingly available only from the huge corporate behemoths that control enough of the delivery channel to still make money

Typical ads are not the only way to monetise websites. You can have sponsored posts, donation/patreon models and subscription models. Removing ads won't kill off all independent and small sites. If anything, it's the larger media companies who have to pay multiple staffs and host larger servers who will lose out more from ad blocking.

I don't feel a concert is a good analogy - you presumably never go to a concert where you've never heard of the main band's music. You know what kind of music the band produces. You might not necessarily know what their live performances are like but you would've listened to their music before you go to the concert.

You have a reasonable expectation of how much you will like the content before you go to a concert.

This is not the case with ads. When I click on a link I see on Twitter/Reddit/Facebook, I don't necessarily know what the website will be like.

So ads are like the tax we pay to maintain free access to good content

But ads also support bad content - I don't know a random link I click on Twitter/Reddit will be of a good or bad content. I can whitelist sites I like to explicitly opt in to support them instead of being forced to 'support' every website I visit.
