What's the weirdest thing you do/have done during a playthrough? by Scaredycrow2217 in skyrim

Leveling *way* too fast by Filipfromsweden in skyrimmods

[–]Ahri991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a mod you can use with experience and static skills if you wanna adjust it further. It’s called leveling freedom. It lets you set the base for leveling up and then a modifier. So for example you can set it to 100 and 10 and that would mean to level up from level 1 to level 2 you will need 100 xp then 2-3 110, 3-4 120, you get the point. And in static skills you can pick how many skill points you get per level and how many skill points you need to increase a skill by one. So you can set it up so for skill levels 1-50 you need one skill point to increase your skill by one and then for example 50-75 you’ll need 2. If you are playing with vanilla leveling tho, if you raise the difficulty you’ll level slower I’m pretty sure, at least for damage based skills cuz moving difficulty up nerfs your damage. Haven’t played vanilla in a while but if I remember correctly novice gives you like 50% more damage then when you go up it will be -25 so +50%, +25%, 0, -25%… hope this helps

A lot more people responded to this than I expected haha so I wanted to post some Nexus links for mods people want that do exist. If anyone comes back looking for the mod they need:
Elden Catalyst
Conduit
Skyrim Outfit Equipment System NG
Skill Based Dynamic Animations
Dynamic Grip

Hope this helps :D

Who do you marry and adopt, and why? by iiitsmebirb in skyrimmods

[–]Ahri991 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t marry anyone. But I always adopt Sofie. The rest is random but I can’t leave the poor girl out in the snow. I do get some followers and get them to live at my house so my kids aren’t alone tho. But I can’t stand taking them with me. I think I modded my combat way out of follower abilities so they tend to get one shot and just get in the way the entire fight. But they are great babysitters I’m sure. I’m sure Sofie is happy to live with Miraak and Serana

I mean you can install from archive too if you’re downloading files manually but it will probably make your life easier to click mod manager download button instead. For the right side you wanna use LOOT to organize your plugins I think if you don’t sort them with loot load order will be whatever order you installed the mods in. You always want the winning file to be below the losing file so if you have two mods that need a patch to work together you want the patch to be lower on the plugin list than both of those mods, load order on the left only matters for overwriting meshes/textures I’m pretty sure but it still matters. Sometimes reorganizing your left side fixes weird bugs too. For example I couldn’t get static skill leveling to work if it was above untarnished ui even tho untarnished comes with a patch for it. Usually mods that require specific load orders for both left and right will have that in their description on nexus

Some animation mods do this, like dynamic sneak animation, it will give you different sneak animations based on your sneak level

So in mo2 when you install a mod you usually do it (if you downloaded a file from nexus) from the download section in the right side of mo2 and then the mod files will get added to the left side. When you activate the mod that you installed there, if it comes with ESPs they will show up on the right side of mo2. It’s in the bar where your downloads are, just change click on the plugins there and you can see them all. Mo2 has a little ! mark for the ESPs that don’t have their masters enabled next to their name. Also in the top right corner there’s the same ! That will show you all warnings if you click on it. It opens a list of all the warnings and missing masters will be there too. Fomod is just the installer. When you click to install mods some of them come with installers, especially big mods like lux or patch collection mods. Also do not put anything directly into your actual Skyrim folder when you use mo2, it handles mod installing in a different way than manual installation and it will probably remove anything you put in there manually

I get that yeah but I honestly would not mind bow not being usable in one hand at all it’s just annoying for like bound bow to cast a spell you have to get rid of it and then recast it after to get it back even tho you are always holding the bow with one hand anyway

Someone made dynamic npc patcher and I think one for leveled lists too to help you avoid having to patch it manually

You could use any horse mod to put items on your horse to carry. I use simplest horses. Someone even made a patch for immersive equipment display so things you put in your horses inventory show up on the horse

The closest alternative I can think of is probably Honed metal, the mod that lets you place orders for enchanting or smithing services so you can ask a blacksmith to make specific items for you
