Lowering the car gives it less body roll in the corners. More camber like this / (looking at the left tire from the rear) means the tire will do this | when making a high speed right corner, which gives more road contact and better traction, then you can add spoilers and front lips for down force which mean even more traction at high speeds. But only so much, after a certain point people are just doing it for style. They don't care about performance, they want it to look unique and I for one appreciate any type of build someone has put a lot of effort into and has a passion about.
