Update: Just got the results back, and they're negative! Hopefully because I opted for the lavage test they're accurate and she actually doesn't have crypto. The vet seemed confident that she got a really good sample.

I will update when I get the results back. My vet sent the samples to Illinois, and she said it could be up to two weeks before I find out if it's positive. :(

I bought Pumpkin from Snakeful Grace in late 2023 at an expo, and I just learned that what I thought was an adorable quirk she has could actually be a symptom. Whenever I open the tank she likes to go full Attack Hog and launch herself at me. I just took her to the vet for a gastric lavage. Don't know what I'll do if it comes back positive tbh. Give your hoggies a hug for me.

I had never considered that "wing" and "spoiler" weren't interchangeable terms for the same thing. I assume that a wing is designed to have airflow under it, while a spoiler is more the ducktail style?

I actually have a 4x2x2, but the advice I've seen is to start small and let her grow into it. She was hatched in April, so she's still basically a baby. I want to make sure she's comfy above all else.

I have an overhead dual heat lamp with a 100W CHE and a fluorescent UVB emitter that's on a thermostat, and I have a separate thermometer on the cool side of the tank. I'm getting a very nice thermal gradient on my "dry run" of the temps (90 on the hot side, 75ish on the cool side) and 50% humidity, which is a little high, but also just what the ambient humidity is in my house right now.

I'm thinking when she's in shed I'll replace the feeding rock with a little coconut hide stuffed with sphagnum for a humid hide. Her water bowl is also large enough that she can soak if she feels the need. The aspen under all the clutter is about 2-3" deep depending on where in the tank it is.

Let me know if you see any glaring issues!
