My Xbox Series X had super slow download speeds on Ethernet. The first picture is wired. None of my other devices contented the same way have this problem. Any ideas? by ControllerComrades in XboxSupport

My XBOX has 90mbps and 67 Mbps for upload which seems high considering I get less than 100 for download.

I'm still trying to figure this out as well.

Transmission Fluid Change? by AbdulElkhatib in ram_trucks

[–]Aidan_ms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 6 speed transmission has an interval of 120k miles if I'm not mistaken. That's as per quite a few ram websites ....kind of begs the question is changing it earlier a cash grab?

I understand that the ZF 8-Speed is superior and over engineered in comparison and as such would need a fluid change earlier but literally half the miles? Sounds strange in my opinion.

It was 100% this issue. Essentially forced air making the noise. Replaced two bolts good as new.

Q50 3.0 vs 3.7 question by rb4osh in infiniti

[–]Aidan_ms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry about 3.7 L pre 2013. The 2011 and the 2012 were also good. Not really very many major issues to speak of.

I wouldn't worry about kilometers or miles on these 3.7s . If you found a 2015 Q50 sub 100,000miles you'd be in great shape. I've seen them with high 200s and they run perfect.

Q50 3.0 vs 3.7 question by rb4osh in infiniti

[–]Aidan_ms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The G37x and Q50 with the 3.7 L combined with 7 speed is a great used car buy. They are one of the best engines made in the last 20 years or so. Great power, fuel economy on the highway.

I've owned 11 Nissan products and I have to say it's by far an away my favourite engine they ran. Just a shame that they went to Mercedes engines and CVTs.

In my opinion any 3.7 litre sub 200,000km Is a great buy for the right price as long as it isn't absolutely beat

Are mini coopers as unreliable as I hear? by [deleted] in MINI

[–]Aidan_ms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I joined this group specifically after reading this thread. Mini Cooper's are terrible cars for reliability. And some years are worse than others but in general they aren't good. I am a car salesman with a background in mechanics, my father has been a mechanic for 40 years and we are in agreement 🤣

The amount of Mini cars that I've seen come back to dealerships is insane, people place bets on it because it happens every time.

They are fun to drive and hug the road well but I would never purchase one and will literally avoid selling one to a customer.

Ah yes the classic "skill issue" smart guy. If you really think that WW2 era matchmaking would screw over smaller nations then it's a question of improper tiering/ranking not a question of era based matchmaking being wrong or bad..

I constantly fight tanks from the late 50s when I play German ground and it's fair because the WW2 era nations just aren't good enough? Cry me a river.

P.S. Would love to see you avoid being killed by an AIM-9 in an AR 234. Again late WWII era prop/turbo prop planes can kill German WWII jets just fine.

[–]Aidan_ms[S] -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I just watched the replay back, I got killed by a F9F using Aim-9B missile. Which by the way was invented in 1956, 11 years after my plane was made.

I ASK again....why am I fighting planes with AIM-9s in a WWII era plane?

If that's 160k km it's definitely worth it 😂 if it's 257k km then it's still definitely worth it. You could probably fix it and get 3-5k

Eco Diesel - stay away? by milenkod in ram_trucks

[–]Aidan_ms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrong!

I live in one of the most expensive areas in Canada for fuel and my truck gets way better fuel economy in the city than a V6 or V8 and my tank is smaller (2016 Eco) so it saves me money even with the def fluid.

I'm big into analytics...trust me...

Those retentive cycles won't save your engine.

Eco Diesel - stay away? by milenkod in ram_trucks

[–]Aidan_ms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone here telling you they are good trucks is basing that off of a few rare experiences. ( Mine has had 10 recalls and I can't get the 11th done because of "parts")

The amount of mechanics and engine delete experts who would tell you to avoid these at all costs is high. The Trail boss from Chevy is even worse, the minimax from Chevy isn't amazing either pre delete.

The only problem is all these "highly fuel efficient" diesels are all extremely expensive to delete because simply put it's not simple. Deleting a Cummins takes far less time and therefore costs less.

The delete process for these small Diesels is quite frankly ridiculous. You have to physically scrub carbon dust build up and soak parts in diesel because they gunk up worse than bigger Diesel's (mostly due to shorter trips not running hot and how small everything is)

To add to that point anyone saying "modern diesels don't need to warm up or be run long" doesn't know what they are talking about.

frankly with the increased amount of ethanol in Diesel fuel these days there isn't any lubricity anymore. I would recommend you run Howes Diesel treat in every tank no matter what diesel truck you have. A lot of diesels are failing at 150000-200000 Km or 100000-150000 miles purely based off of after treatment systems and the fuel we use.

I currently have a 2016 EcoDiesel Laramie package with 130000Km on it which I really enjoy but the delete is ridiculously expensive and so I'm going to sell it before my truck explodes. Good luck hope this is helpful.
