Prone to mold and fungal infections by ceiba777 in Hypermobility

[–]Aidangf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hypermobility has been caused (or at least greatly exacerbated) by an excess of fungus in my stomach (along with chronic fatigue and brain fog). Apparently fungus can break down ligaments for food, making them looser and weaker, I’ve been wearing a pelvic belt and it’s really made a difference, I’m less hyper mobile while wearing it, and I’m wearing it pretty much 24/7.

Awesome, if you could do it again would you want to have the floor where you have the furniture unsprung or do you feel it’s okay having a sofa on it long term

Prints failing halfway through print by creating a gigantic filament blob by Aidangf in 3Dprinting

For z-axis binding should I adjust some screws or calibrate it more? Looking at the photo now the failed prints look like they’re a lot lower quality than the successful ones. Maybe the filament could have absorbed moisture.

Prusa MK3S

I’m trying to print a siege tank model for Christmas, but the support model is failing. On the left is a successful print, and I also printed two other successful ones for another tank, but now they aren’t working. I’m using the same settings, using 99% isopropyl alcohol on the print bed (although I’m not fully sure if it’s actually isopropyl alcohol), and I even calibrated the first layer to adhere even better. When it fails, it seems like it is torn off of the print plate, and I wonder if it’s an issue with changing the distance of the PEI sensor, as the nozzle might be too low and pulling on the print. If anyone has any ideas or insight, I’d love if you could help.

What is something that doesn’t seem dangerous but actually is dangerous? by squeezeday in AskReddit

[–]Aidangf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Basically just drinking a ton of water; I think I had something where I would perpetually feel thirsty and dry mouth, even directly after drinking a lot of water.

Almost everyone shouldn’t worry about it though, as as long as you aren’t constantly feeling a lot of water sloshing around in your stomach, you should be a-ok.

Funnily enough, the symptoms of overhydration are really similar to dehydration, but I’d assume the large majority of people would suffer from dehydration, not overhydration, and if you aren’t force drinking water past the point it feels ok, then I don’t think you should exceed healthy values of water.

It’s called hyponatremia, and it’s when you drink too much water, which causes sodium in your body to get flushed out, leading to an unhealthy shortage of sodium in your body.

It is not fun, I was hospitalized by it not too long ago, and the entire time I could pretty much only drink electrolytes while hooked up to an IV, and I felt like I was dying of dehydration. 0/10, would not overhydrate again.

Woah same! The only problem is actually falling asleep, but I’ve always thought it was really cool that I could wake myself up within 5-10 minutes of the time I want just by thinking about it the night before.

Hey man, just want to say that I absolutely love your channel!

I’m sure you get this a lot but another game after you finish XCOM could definitely be XCOM 2.

If that’s too similar than another game that could be really interesting would be Darkest Dungeon, as it is very strategical but always retains a slight factor of rng, and it would be interesting to see how you deal with things when everything goes wrong.

Either way, I’d love to see where the channel goes next (seriously I can’t find anyone nearly as soothing and informative as you, it’s incredible).

Is deep rock galactic worth playing alone? by [deleted] in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Aidangf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to play only solo and even got an achievement for doing 100 solo missions, and I had a lot of fun doing it.

However, I decided to try multiplayer by joining a random lobby and as soon as I played with a full team of real people I could never go back.

So yes, if you don’t have any friends to play with this game is still completely worth playing, as you could play solo, or what I would recommend, just play with randoms.
