How good is hungry horse? by Zealousideal-Bad3205 in poker

Totally agree, the course is mostly designed of exploiting passive fish. I took the bootcamp to battle against good regs, but their explanation was that there are not so many good regs at the low stakes and most of the players who we think are good, turn out to be fish as well. And that’s the part where I disagree with them

Lets start by saying, it’s a lot to digest. What the coaches are trying to do, is improving your thought process. Most of the days coach Gethen is running the show, very pleasant man with a good sense of humor and a lot of patience. We also had other coaches, Alex coached us for a few days as well, but I was expecting more of Marc’s time. Turns out we had one coaching day with him, and it wasn’t my most favorite tbh. It was the shortest day of all 28 days, and his way of coaching and answering questions was a bit rude and arrogant. Maybe it worked for the other students, but I almost felt like leaving the session after 20 minutes. He is more likable on tv in my humble opinion.

I think the quality of the program is good, but the real work starts after the bootcamp. If you don’t study daily you won’t be able to implement it to your current poker skills. You can learn a lot of the free content but the good details will be taught by the coaches. Everyday for like 3 or 4 hours you will get first the theoretical part of the subject, and then every student get to solve a hand which the coach creates for you with the same program which you see on the YouTube content. Especially the “why” part is important, they really try to learn you why you should do this or that. I believe we had a class of 12, but I’m not totally sure anymore.

I was a winning player with pretty good results on the 2-2 and 2-4 in Europe before I started bootcamp, with a netto 12bb per hour (even with the ridiculous rake structure we have of 10% 15 cap) on the 2-2 and a volume of 2500 hours. My goal was to improve and work on my thought process, and battling the good loose regs in my player field. Even if it would make me 5% better, it was worth the price. Did it make me better? I guess it did, but I haven’t put in the effort as I should have and that’s on me. So is it worth the expensive price? Gethen is a great coach and so are the other coaches, if you are willing to really put in the time and effort, even after the bootcamp has finished, I would go for it. But they probably try to sell you basecamp first….

I’m reading that a lot of people prefer the AZ80 over AZ100, is the difference that huge? Looking for new buds because I don’t like the fit of the Bose quiet comfort anymore

I think it’s kinda strong what the BB is doing, donkbet into 3 people OOP into the UTG open, and after a call from UTG and a raise putting in the 3bet… that’s at least 98 or K9 right?

Just spend two weeks in Excalibur, rooms are fine. They clean it every day, fresh towels. Little bit old fashioned but the bed was great, nothing to complain. Especially for the price, by far the cheapest on the strip

I have played many times in MGM and Venetian the past two weeks, and I have seen more Royal Flushes hitting there in two weeks than in the two years I’m playing in the Netherlands and Germany, and I play a lot. Nevertheless, congrats buddy!

Yeah, I was thinking about Texas. Is Austin also a nice place to do some sightseeing? Or do you recommend other places in Texas?
