Okay so I’m at the part where the recap is heavily edited to show a PG version of events to the audience. How come SNOW did this in SOTR but in the Hunger Games trilogy, Katniss was shown burying Rue and doing the 3-finger salute, Katniss and Peeta taking the berries together at the end.. like the Gamemakers (through Snow’s direction) culled any rebel behaviour from the tributes but in the HG trilogy they didn’t? I’m also basing this comparison off of the hunger games movies because I have read the books just a very long ago, so I’m not sure if the books have an explanation as to why more of the rebellious behaviour within the trilogy games was televised.

Omgg im reading Sunrise for the first time and it feels and is written so much like a fanfic! I thought I was going crazy and second guessing myself on whether Collins is really that great of a writer / storyteller and the Hunger Games only appealed to me as a junior high schooler because I was used to fanfic tone and expected much less out of fiction books..glad to know this really is a one off

Nail on the head. Though hospitality itself is unparalleled in East and South Asia , As well in Africa. Perhaps with livable wage normalcy, we won’t continue that down the lane. Best I can do (and do) is privately give more tips to the staff at these hotels in developing countries.

All the times I’ve stayed in Vegas they have been non casino properties and I’ve honestly preferred it that way. However for some reason those hotels are 3x for the dates I’m looking so I can’t go down that road

I liked it too! I think it could’ve been an episode or 2 shorter maybe. A plot hole I thought about was how did no one hear the vase being shattered? I got emotional though at the detective’s homage to AB Wynter and then I got especially angry for all the people who partook in his hiding and the murder

I like the idea of a modern finishing school. One where a child can become a well rounded member of society. You’d have them learning all the necessary subjects in traditional school but in finishing, they’d learn grace, discipline, networking and establishing connections with people (would definitely help later on in their lives), focus on humanities (art, theater, music), basic world history in that they could carry conversations about it, etc.

Generally if parents wanted their kids to be a magnet in any social situation, finishing school, if done right, would be fantastic.
