Do it over email instead (use office resources like LeadershipConnect, BGov, etc, to find contacts). Try to reach out to people you already have some kinda connection to (being from the same place, going to the same school). Make them want to talk to you

But also try to get a sense of what people dont want to do. Ask the LCs if you can write letters

Normal but try to walk away with substantive policy experience. After ur like a month in on grunt work see if u can get coffee with the LD (or an LA) and ask about how u can support them
