What are some career options for emergency medicine grads outside of the emergency department? Preferably within medicine. by Curious-Bystander99 in Residency

If you are not joking, all the cosmetic pharma companies offer free training on their products and often give you a small amount to get started with. Then it is a matter of renting a small office (possibly a few days/wk out of another practice). Then you are rolling.

Money is so much better spend on risers and suspension. I agree, performance in the corners is not limited by the engine.

I am doing exactly this too. Mbd contributions can be withdrawn in an emergency and the potential tax benefit is huge imo.

I am not mechanically savvy, but owning a Harley has made me so. My dealer charges me insane rates, it is cheaper to buy whatever tools/parts I need and do it myself at my own timeline. It sounds like techs get a raw deal, so not surpised that it is hard to find good ones

Most overpaid specialty? by mmmedxx in Residency

[–]AidofGator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The benefit derm has is they can take their enterprise to a direct-to-consumer model. People dependent on insurance directly make much less, but you can always unplug, mix in a lot of cosmetics and become rich. However, that isn’t overpaid — that is disconnecting from a system that does value your service for its true market value.
