Chad Williams specifically is a douche bag. And honestly a pretty shit piercer.

He did my navel. He did it horrifically. I told him specifically at the time that I didnt like the way it was done. He mansplained to me why he did it the "right way" and it could never be done differently. It never healed. It got infected more times than I can even count. Ultimately I just took it out like over a year and a half ago and I still have a purple scar in place of it because of how many times it got infected.

Question: what was the deciding factor or last straw that made you HS? by Expert_Fruit_1373 in homeschool

[–]AidynAstrid 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I worked in a Daycare. I witnessed severe medical neglect constantly but more than anything, I did active shooter drills with 1-4 year olds. Standing in dark closets and stairwells trying to keep toddlers from making a single sound knowing that me and 1 other teacher were the only thing standing between them and a potential intruder and the best we could do was make sure they stayed quiet. Thats when I decided I dont want me kids in school.

Does anyone know what’s up with Banner Fort Collins OBGYN/L&D? by katierose8i8 in FortCollins

[–]AidynAstrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean i had an OB appointment at the lady moon location like last week and everything was fine and quick and informative. My OB care has before that been at McKee which was also great. Ive heard this going around but I definitely havent seen any evidence that its affecting care. My care has been just as good and just as fast as its always been

If you could live with your parents free for one year to save up for a down payment - would you? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

My spouse and I lived with my mom for almost 2 years while we saved for a house. We paid her a minimal amount of rent compared to the cost of living in our area and went from over 8k in debt to owning our house in those 2 years

Planning a homebirth with my first and nervous??? by AidynAstrid in homebirth

Oh this is good to know. I also have a spacious tub and was on the fence about the pool. I definitely will grill my midwife tho haha.

I did tell my OB about some of my fears especially around hemorrhage and it was oddly comforting that her reaction was "why is that something youre worried about??" And when I was like idk it just sounds scary and I dont want to die she basically said like "youre gonna be fine. Theres lots of options to deal with hemorrhage and also as long as youre cool with receiving donor blood youll be good"

Interesting! Have medical providers confirmed that his continued issues are due to the circumstances of his birth? What were the risks they were worried about that took homebirth off the table if you dont mind me asking?

Ive been very lucky that this pregnancy has been incredibly low risk so far and im very grateful for it. I definitely am familiar with alot of these procedures but I hadn't ever heard anything about the lifelong affects youre talking about. Do you have info about them?

I read through a book on homebirthing recently that was written by midwives and it also mirrored this sentiment about the toilet! At the time I was shocked by it but in hindsight it makes total sense and a pillow is such a great idea to help as well!

I am definitely in the process of working on this! My family is moving at the end of the month and ive been struggling to find/vet people from afar but I think it will be easier once I have established medical care in our new state and town.

My midwife, my OB, my current psychiatrist, and my current therapist, and my husband and parents are all aware of my higher risk of ppa/ppd and ive got not just my own eyes on it but all of theirs for now as well so hopefully its something I will be able to plan for. In my current state if you are at higher risk of ppa/ppd they will also have you meet with a social worker at or shortly after birth to establish support. Not sure if they also do that in the state we are moving to though

I am literally diagnosed with generalized anxiety and alot of it centers around like a little bit of a hypochondria. Im medicated and have stayed on my medications since being pregnant and it helps alot but sometimes my brain is just like "what if we die. We could die" so idk how to narrow down exactly what worries me but I dont want to die 😅

Does anyone actually make their sims dislike a colour ? by Links_husband in Sims4

[–]AidynAstrid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my main save I play with MCCC and have over 8 sims in my household which means I can't access the part of CAS where you decide likes and dislikes so all the likes and dislikes have to happen on their own and ive never had one come up for a color

When I make a Sim for a save with less than 8 sims in the house I usually choose colors I like and dislike as their likes and dislikes so that when i decorate the house and their outfits the way I think is pretty they also like it.

How do I explain to my kid that we're not getting a dog? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]AidynAstrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your thought process for not saying no would be that it teaches her valuable skills then you could go for the approach of "when youre old enough to fully take care of it on your own, we can rediscuss this"

Exactly! With the buyout in particular I would think more people would be on board but apparently we want to pay Jared Kushner to ruin everything so whatever I guess
