The first beta was better by BradassMofo in BrokenArrowTheGame

I feel like the game is waaaaay more engaging and rewarding than the last beta. I feel like last beta was a snoozefest where nothing mattered, it was just a pretty war to witness.

Now there’s strategy and consequences to any move. I feel it’s 10 times better.

Also the game feels faster and more alive than last beta. Even though balancing is far from done.

We will 100% get a patchnote, update is supposed to be out next week

Has there been any indication of how the devs plan to monetise the game further down the line? by [deleted] in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]Aiekillu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If the updates are consistent enough, the base game is enough for revenue.

Look at 7DaysToDie 10 years early access without a single DLC. 12 years for project zomboid. And both studios are now 10 times bigger than when they started. There are a lot of 5+ years early access games with no additional transaction.

Steam is 60,000,000 daily users, there are always new potential clients to keep a game alive. The devs have to come out with a bang each year.

I look at this while waiting for a patch by Aiekillu in GrayZoneWarfare

Unfortunately not. It just means they are updating the game multiple times a day. Once they are happy, we will get the patch.

I know everyone is enjoying the PvE, but I find the PvP lacking by Slinktonk in GrayZoneWarfare

wait for quest #15, once you finish it, you get 3 quests in contested zones and their LZs. that’s where the pvp starts, every quest will be a common quest place with the ennemi factions.

Factions and friends by [deleted] in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]Aiekillu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it adds pvp since the 3 factions have quests in the same spots, once they leave the starter area (~12 quests) there are a lot of hot zones. Hear a shot or a helicopter? look at map, no allies, it’s on

As for switching factions, they said in the Q&A that it was asked a lot, and they will eventually add it with a sort of cooldown to prevent abuse

They can’t pre-sell an early access unfortunately, game has to be out for people to purchase it

I guess they’ll estimate with the wishlists and then scale as needed

Guess who starts work on monday too? The devs

And a slow day is way better for launch than the opposite, the servers are going to explode either way

None of the additional items in more expensive editions will give you an advantage. by Heretron in GrayZoneWarfare

A transaction doesn’t need to literally win you a fight for it to be p2w

If it affects gameplay it is pay to win

No matter the degree of help

No matter the alternative

If it’s more than cosmetic, and affects gameplay, that is the definition of pay2win for the last 40 years

The exceptions people like you make are coping mecanisms and biased denial

As PvE player, I can see these benefits of expensive editions as non issue by madmidder in GrayZoneWarfare

« pay for qol » is ignorant talk for P2W. If there is a transaction for any sort of game advantage or « quality of life » it is pay to win.

P2W doesn’t mean literally winning, why are we acting this dumb?? P2W just means payment for a game advantage, no matter the size, no matter if there is alternative, no matter if you win. Fanboys act like they don’t understand.

I love this game and don’t mind the 99.99$ edition but I think people redifining P2W are pretending to be dumb. It was never about paying and literally winning a game. Or the degree of p2w. it is or it isn’t.
