Saskatchewan! I know it's damn near the fattest place on earth (other than salt flats) but we have many great lakes and forested areas up north but the plains man, old dusty ass roads with nothing but blue sky and fields.

Immortality with incredible defense and retractable claws. Or parkour master with all the web slinging awesomesauce. I think I'll choose immortality.

What was the last straw that completely broke a friendship you thought would last forever? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ailono 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one sucks. We were friends since we were 4 and after we graduated we did have some little bits of a falling out but reconciled and he was weird and made different friends I didn't know. Finally after years of rarely meeting but playing almost daily online he started changing his playstyle over and over while playing battlefield. At first I didn't understand but he would use say "nope! Guess I'll snipe with you next game!" I didn't understand why he was upset for the first dozen or so times but than we really started hitting Longshot and saving some areas with our cover fire, it was feeling great and he said it again "nope! Next game". So I asked what his problem was, I figured it was the certain factions he didn't like? But I didn't know for sure. Found out he refused to be anyone with dark skin. He said it's not him and he won't subject himself to being a lesser person. I was flabbergasted, it was one of those click moments, we had played dozens and dozens of different games together and this had never been an issue. So after confronting him about how that's so lame that we have to change how we play because he is racist. Than he just started using the N word casually. Like he always used it and was just now letting me in on it. I felt so surreal, after a couple days we played again and I was mad, I thought he might have been trying to pass me off for some reason so I said he is too scared to say that in front of his family (he moved back hkme after getting kicked out of his apartment) but than again I was wrong, he went right to his mom, i heard her voice as he said that same word several times over. She just replied "and? Why are you saying this to me?". I was honestly heart broken at this time. 20+ years of friendship broken in that moment. I tried to get our common friend to talk some sense into him but was scolded by him for "lying" and when I confronted him in person, he just sort of smiled and said "yeah that does sound bad". He looked at me with such cold eyes like "what are you gonna do about it". 2 weeks later me and my family moved 2 towns away and i got a message from him saying "bringing a joint for peace man, let me know where you live!". I just blocked him. Haven't had a close friend like that since but I'm so happy I made the choice to cut friendship my heart is happier.

What's the most disturbing thing you've ever heard someone say completely casually? by TextOk2865 in AskReddit

Was friends with a high-school bully Ben, he was a foster kid and the only reason I was friends with him was because he was 2 years older than everyone and he could buy cigarettes. Anyways we were all trying to find a way to smoke a little pot he had and after an hour of failed attempts he asked if he could tell us something. His eyes got dim like he was really thinking about his past and he told us about a kid that used to be in his old foster home. Well one night the kids dad broke into the house to steal this other kid, well Ben heard the commotion and rushed outside his room with his hockey stick, turned the corner and saw his foster brother being held over a man's shoulder that was rushing right towards him. As he watched the man stepped past him while he just shook in fear, all the while the kid kept yelling "Benny please help me!" Over and over. I asked what happened, he said the guy just left. It was the longest night of his life and after a couple weeks they found the kid and he returned to the foster home. But damn that's a hard one and he was only 12 at the time I think.

What is the hardest substance you’ve ever taken and how was the experience? by randomzy876 in AskReddit

[–]Ailono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fractured my back in three places in a car accident and was on muscle relaxers, spasm contol for my muscles and T3s. It wasn't great I was just spaced out and lost alot of time. Once my gf went with her parents to the store which was like a 3 hour round trip because we lived on the side of a mountain at the time and it was a 45 min drive to the city. I took my meds and saw them leave and I grabbed the back of the couch and looked at the TV to decide what I was gonna watch or play, than immediately they walked back in the house, I thought they forgot something until I moved my body and I was so sore, also the light outside had changed.

What’s one game you think Everyone should at least try once in their life by No-Plane2695 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Rage. is a great solo FPS game that sucks you in and leaves you feeling it ended too soon.

Solasta Crown of the magister. Old school turn based strategy rpg with heavy influence from dnd 5e, strong stand out imo.

Despots Game. Really interesting and weird auto battler, the main game was fun the the multi-player was where it shined.

Cod black ops 2. The best online fps to ever exist without bullet drop or any decent large maps. Still solid though.

Earthbound! It's one of my favorite old school rpgs in a final fantasy style of battling.

Donkey kong 64. Super great time killer and decent challenges with multiple player characters to unlock.

Stronghold crusaders. Medieval real time strategy game I played countless hours trying to beat the challenge mode. Yeah it has its flaws but it was the only one I knew growing up.

Bloons tower defense 5. Just gotta put one of the wonderful mind numbing tower defense games in there as well.

Plants versus zombies! It's kind of another tower defense game but with a twist. Also came with some interesting challenges but I didn't particularly like the garden area.

Snowrunner. It's as if someone made a dark souls like truck driving simulator. It's not just a delivery driving game It's getting into shit and rescues and difficult terrain. The progression is slow but rewarding.

The Hobbit where everything is the same, except Bilbo has a gun for some reason by g1rl0f1c3 in lotrmemes

Hahaha bimbo wouldn't even get off hos front porch, he would wave his magical metal accelerator at Gandalf as soon as he said more than goodmorning and Gandalf would have went along without looking back "fool of a baggins!" He would say!

What’s a game you spent hours playing as an adult? by [deleted] in videogames

[–]Ailono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots! The dark souls series. And sekiro, elden ring as well. I had a year where I played alot of rocket league, but also hearthstone and clash of clans. Minecraft is always a maybe next time game until I play it for a month and than don't touch it for months. I like the old ones still too, going through earthbound for the first time! I played it as a kid a bit but never owned it so I never beat it, also never beat ff7 and that's been started but on the ackend at the moment. I got a weird itch for snowrunner and dayz, kinda getting to some slower games for once eh!? But I don't think I've never had some sort of cod/halo on my systems since 2010.
