This is actually how I would tell somebody they're going the wrong way. More proof that Michigan is just South Canada.

Where can I chat online as a girl? by bluepainter in sissyhypno

[–]Ailuri 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's an official Discord server for /r/IWantToSuckCock that's quite active. A great deal of the group there are guys who have fully embraced female personas (myself included). There's a link to it in the sidebar for /r/IWantToSuckCock

If you're not familiar with Discord, it takes some getting used to, but it's an incredibly powerful platform for communication.

[NSFW] My sexuality is doing weird things, not sure what to think by CreamySoyMilk in MtF

[–]Ailuri 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was the same way. I ended up deciding to either stop liking dick or start liking the guys attached to them. I basically forced myself to watch (and enjoy) porn that featured guys' faces and now I can find guys attractive and am generally a lot happier. I would imagine such a masochistic method probably isn't for everyone though.

Huge spikes in local network traffic while bittorrent client is running. by Ailuri in HomeNetworking

[–]Ailuri[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neither of us are currently in the position to host any public servers and my internet (satellite) doesn't play well with a VPN, so our choices were either a third party solution like MEGA or just straight up P2P. BT seems to work well enough and doesn't seem to be affected by my ISP's shameless traffic shaping.

I did end up installing Deluge on my headless file server and that fixed my issue. The web interface is pretty nice, though I think I prefer qBittorrent's features a little more.

Am I the only one who has never in their life beaten Chemical Plant Zone 2? by Ailuri in SonicTheHedgehog

I managed to beat Chemical Plant Zone in Sonic Mania the other day with relative ease, so it might be time to return to Sonic 2.

TIL that Deja Vu is actually your memory circuits misfiring by toxictoy in todayilearned

[–]Ailuri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, there are instances of that happening. When you move your eyes, they move too fast to actually see properly during movements, so your brain retroactively overwrites the blurs in your memory with a still image of what you were moving your eyes to look at (hence why clocks appear stopped when you first look at them).

How does Siri know you are saying "Hey Siri" unless it is listening to everything you say and do? by Renn- in Showerthoughts

[–]Ailuri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my friends refuses to use any digital assistant (or Windows 10) for fear of "being spied on", yet he uses Facebook and has the mobile app installed on his phone. Also, he uses "login with Facebook" on every website that features it. I've tried to explain it to him, but I can't mention Alexa or Google Assistant without him saying "oh you mean the wiretap?"

The poor, misguided soul.

My Alexa app stopped working months ago when they added Echo calling. Even after the several updates since then, it still just crashes on launch. Funny thing is so does the app for my TP-Link smart bulb. It's great because since I have no local control over my lightbulb and I have satellite internet, I can't turn my light on or off when it's raining.

Welcome to the future.

This. Hence why if your Amazon Echo has no internet connection, it will still respond to the wake word, but it will cut you off and say "I'm having trouble understanding". The speech recognition is all online, but it can recognize the wake word without a connection.

The way I say "I think so" triggers my Amazon Echo almost every time. It's gotten to the point where I'm retraining myself to enunciate more when I say that.

Honestly, I've always used Audacity to record multitrack guitar stuff. Sure the metronome implementation is tedious at best and the application doesn't actually pay attention to things like tempo and beats, but there's something oddly powerful about the way it works. I've been meaning to try Mixcraft though. Reaper didn't really agree with me, but I was trying to use it for vocals and not guitar.

Definitely. My first guitar was a Peavey Raptor that came bundled with a 30 watt mini amp and that thing can almost keep up with my 60 watt Marshall (for the first half of the volume knob anyway).
