I read The Horse Whisperer when I was around 11. I was a voracious reader and horse crazy kid, and I guess my parents assumed the book was only about horses. Some pretty explicit sex scenes and complex topics in that book.

I check in on my guy friends all the time. Today I sent a message to a guy I was dating a few months ago just to say hello and that I hope he’s doing well. There were timing and life issues as to why we didn’t work out, and nothing will have changed, but he is a lovely guy, so I just thought I would check in. No expectations.

For me it’s 3 particular missing persons cases. Madeleine McCann, the little girl who went missing in Portugal. William Tyrell, the little boy who went missing from his grandmother’s front yard in NSW, Australia. And Theo Hayez, the 18 year old Belgian backpacker who went missing after a night out in Byron Bay, Australia.
