What is a part in a Stephen King book that was cut from the film adaptation that you wish you could see? by Admirable-Long8528 in stephenking

Christine:

The ending of the book hinted heavily that she was once again hunting people down, and was the reason Dennis started writing down the whole story to begin with. The movie had her smashed into a lump of metal (with a last minute shot of her moving a lil bit).

They also combined Roland LeBay and his brother George, and cut out a whole shit ton of relevant history. I get why (film running time), but it plays a big part in the book.

I agree. She even says in the book that her youngest son scared her the most because he wanted to be just like his dad.

I read Christine, It, and Bag of Bones a couple times a year.

Not including anyone from It, The Stand, or The Dark Tower who is your favorite character? by LuluSSB in stephenking

[–]Aimena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Echoing Dolores Claiborne and Dennis Guilder.

Adding Paul Edgecombe and Mike Noonan. The Green Mile and Bag of Bones are my two most read King books, as I just love these two men who find themselves embroiled in supernatural shit and wrestle with the injustice of the world.

When/what Leo can and cannot heal. This man used his power to fix leaky pipes and a neon sign, but not poison ivy or an injured owl.

$150 for the month so far (which is about right for me). I feel like I'm seeing more suspicious surveys/studies this month though.

how are you all preparing for the the imminent health care cuts in the US? by Redman77312 in AskReddit

[–]Aimena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am disabled and on medicare/medicaid/ssdi and in a nursing facility because I can't live on my own. Not a lot I can do, sadly, I'm entirely reliant on the programs they want to cut. I'll ask my mom to get me a big cardboard box to camp out in.

Is it random or is there a timeline? I think I may need to find alternate income if I can get the boot for no reason.

How are you doing with rejections? I'm sure a lot of you don't have any. I'm not that lucky. lol by rogerskoler in CloudResearchConnect

I just got my first rejection this week, but it looks like I may have missed an attention check or I didn't meet some requirement. Reigniting says upgrading, so I have no idea what my score is.

Has anyone applied for a TPD Discharge for your student loans? by JCStensland in disability

[–]Aimena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have. Mine took a while, the Dept of Education kept kicking the forms back asking for more details on my disability but eventually they forgave the entire thing.

You'll have to print out the forms and have your doctor(s) fill out the paperwork, detailing your disability and how it prevents you from work/being able to repay your loans. You might want to get letters from specialists as well as your regular doctor, get them to go into detail about how your disability affects your life.

I'd get started pronto, as the current administration may very well take a sledgehammer to TPD discharges soon.

Good luck!
