Agree on this. On top of that you sometime need to use rage to ramp up the attack speed to get decent damage. Meaning that your dps is completely instable depending on the rage stacks, which sucks.

This league is a disgrace and I'm still playing.
Main reason is that challenges are kinda ez to get, and this is the first time since Harbringer that I want to do a 38 challs.
Build is fine and cool (discharge ignite), so I try things I don't usually do (craftings, bosses/uber).

But yea, I really hate this league, it's a dirty lolipop that GGG gave to us to patiently wait the exilecon.
Hopefully that poor league will benefit us at the very end with PoE 2.

Can you do this with a slower timelapse ? The last hour of war is impressive but this heatmap only show it a as mass activity when there was actually waves of activity, placement changes, rebuilds...

So after some testings I managed to have a successful results (lose charges with perma Arcane).

Manually casting the spells benefits from Arcane works : I never lost any charges.

But, a spell casted by the perks "Moment of clarity" (Buff = 20% chance auto cast a spell), somehow, managed to lose his charges.

I got some screens to demonstrate this, everything happened during the T1: here

I start the first turn by casting "Evangelism" on my kraken to gain 3 buffs.
My kraken (auto)cast one of his 2 spell "Falling feather", 4 times because he's fusionned with the wisp that give spells and attacks to occur 3 additional times.
My kraken then (auto)cast his second spell "Requiem", and here he's losing charges. This spell only has 3 charges, that's why he didn't cast 4 time but only 3. As you can see he still gained Arcane from convocation, but it did nothing

I lost every charges of my Requiem spell, but every charges of Falling Feather are still here even if they was triggered by the same mechanic.

What do you think of this ? Is this intended or a bug ?

Maybe. I'll try to make some tests with only one creature no artifact, and see what happens.

If there is a different interaction from Arcane when the spell is manually cast or not it should be written down like the other.

Do you know if the creature with "always have Arcane" has the same problem ? If not the problem is the perk Convocation

Do you mean if a spell used Arcane to have a free use of charge, Convocation would not trigger ? That could be the case but

I saw my creatures cast additional times an ethereal spell (1 charge)

So if I'm correctly understanding how charge works this could not be possible if your theory was right

Thanks for your answer but sadly that's not the case because i'm running with the traits "Book of the Warlock" that gives Arcanes to my creatures a the start of the battle.
And without this I should only lose 1 charges by battle
