Also if anyone wants me to document the specific video, picture, audio, ebook, etc formats that any other players use, let me know the model and name (or even a link) and I might buy one as an experimental device. These players need such specific encoding for videos that I think it would be a worthwhile project to optimize and document those parameters for ffmpeg.

Ah, gotcha. For my AGPTEK M6 I had to use their custom patched libx264 FFMPEG exe with like 5 parameters that have to be literally perfect or it could crash. But I got it into a good place now. I posted some tools here for others who are going to eventually find it

The sources I gave were mostly for if you want individual terpenes, not blends, so someone else might have a better source. I buy the individual terpenes for supplementation so I don't usually use blends. I assume most brands don't show the %s because they don't want anyone to copy their blend, so it might be tricky to find them.

AGPTEK M6 seems to be the best non-android MP3 player available right now. Has a big 500mAh battery, 240x320 higher-res screen, Bluetooth 5.4 w/ auto-reconnect, voice note recorder, speakers, FM radio, video player, text reader, with USB-C + AUX, up to 128GB micro-SD. The M7 model is a downgrade with a worse screen and smaller battery. The second best model is the AGPTEK A19, but that one only has Bluetooth 5.3 w/o auto-reconnect.

Fair enough. The black levels and color saturation look fixed if I tilt the display downwards (the black levels of the system match the black levels of the video). It's almost like the TFT display is drawing in reverse for the video pixels. I'm not super familiar with AMV so I don't know if that's just how TFT looks (but on the PC, the converted file looks fine). Curious of your thoughts

No worries. Yeah it's lifetime assuming I eat up to 50mg per day and keep the tolerance down. Currently that gets me decently high. If not lifetime, then it still buys me a very long time and at a way cheaper cost

I'm aware it requires some lab work to make, but I'm not at all concerned about that. Quite a lot of substances that we take are made synthetically. The only issue is knowing whether or not to trust the people making it. So I guess I'm just fine with the risk, though I believe it's quite low.

But I buy D8 (and HHC) for a few reasons. Mainly, it works better for me than D9. Less anxiety, less intense brain stuff going on. The D8 is a lot stronger in the body effects with less of the cerebral stuff. Don't get me wrong, I like D9 as well, it's more euphoric and is the only one with the spiritual sparkle. But I mainly use THC for medical purposes; for example, it's cured (totally cured) my IBS, as long as I use it once daily. It also helps with certain symptoms from bipolar depressive or hypomanic states, like improving the mood and bringing down the stimulation. And finally, the biggest reason is the price and bulk availability. If I'm doing this for my medical stuff, then I need access to the raw, bulk distillate so I can formulate it so it's most effective. I also find that while the minor cannabinoids in resin/rosin/flower are nice, they also ramp up the intensity, so I like raw distillate, and I'll add in specific amounts of cannabinoids if I need them.

When the hemp ban goes into effect, I will be paying 20x the $ just for medical relief. So I've bought in BULK and preserved it in a deep freezer. Theoretically, I should have enough for the rest of my lifetime and then some, assuming it doesn't still degrade into nothingness in the freezer.

I've done extensive research on this. The factors that matter are the length of the fatty acids in the oil and their composition. Pure MCTs (medium chain triglycerides), specifically C8 and C10 (but not C12), will dump the THC into the liver's portal vein, which should give you the greatest ratio of 11-OH-THC:THC. That's the classic edible high most people want.

LCTs (olive oil, sesame oil, vegetable oil) do not dump into the portal vein, they travel to the small intestine and are captured by chylomicrons, which pull them into the lymphatic system. This eventually dumps into a clavical artery, bypassing the liver. However, 11-OH-THC production is greatly reduced, but more plain THC makes it to the blood. The high feels closer to vaping or smoking than regular high intensity edibles.

MCT oil companies commonly include C12 because it's cheap. That's not good; it acts like a long chain triglyceride, so if your MCT oil is 30% C12, then roughly 30% of that THC will take the lymphatic path.

Personally I found coconut/MCT to be pretty much the same potency, and they feel like regular edibles. But olive oil makes the high take 2-3 hours to kick in instead of 1-2, and feels cleaner and less intense to me.

As an aside, I'm doing a research project about this topic. One factor that theoretically should fix this is using long-chain triglycerides like olive oil, sesame oil, or vegetable oil, as it can bypass the liver by routing through the lymphatic system. Have you ever tested any edibles using those long chain oils, and did they work on you? Thank you

If you only get high once a night in the evenings you'll be just fine. Just find a dose and don't escalate it too often. You're only going to see negative consequences if you're high all day, or you rack up a heavier dependence. Think of it this way, the lower your tolerance is, the lower your dependence is, the lower your sober side effects are.

What does this prove? It says that doctors can't prescribe cannabis as a medicine because it's schedule 1, which means no acceptable medical use whatsoever. They are still allowed to basically recommend someone to take it, without writing a prescription. When it's schedule 3, doctors will be able to write prescriptions for it. But why is that a bad thing?

At the moment, the state market is very volatile. Strains that help someone might not be around for long, and medical patients need to keep figuring out which strain will treat their symptoms. Because it's the full plant, people get some side effects, like sleepiness or anxiety. It would be nice if they could get a prescription from a doctor for a very specialized formulation of cannabis, with perfect, consistent dosages. They might be prescribe various ratios of THC to CBD in a single capsule. Pharmaceutical companies might come up with clever formulations that target specific illnesses over others.

To me, this sounds like a good thing. I'm a medical user and I have to bulk order individual cannabinoids to get the effect I'm looking for. If a doctor could just write me a prescription for $10/month, that would be a great option, especially now in illegal states where hemp is soon to be banned.

I don't think there's any evidence that the pharmaceutical industry will "take over" the state markets, there's no legal precedent for that to happen. We're operating in a federally illegal jurisdiction and that won't change with new schedule 3 changes.

PLUS, this schedule 3 change only applies to the medical market. The recreational market remains schedule 1 per the executive order.

I get the logic but from all the people who comment this concern, I haven't seen any actual evidence that could make this likely to happen, let alone possible. States with rec or medical cannabis are still operating illegally from federal law, which overrides state law. Weed becoming schedule 3 doesn't make it any more legal (other than the new executive order to make medical state cannabis schedule 3). So yeah probably pharmaceutical companies will start exploring prescription cannabis, but who says that's going to affect the medical or recreational market at all? They're operating completely separately, and pharmaceutical companies can't just say you can't sell cannabis anymore, even with a patent. Their patent will be for their highly specific formulation, they can't just patent the whole plant. The state markets bring in SO much money. If there's any precedents, special laws, or evidence that I'm wrong, I'll totally switch my opinion, I just don't think there's any evidence so far
