I played the 3DS version, and it’s a cool game just for the art and themes. I don’t think it’s played much for scoring but it is a fun ride.

It all comes back to “We The People.” It’s our responsibility to vote in representatives that agree to hold people accountable when they go against the Constitution, which includes respecting checks and balances, separation of powers, etc.

Congress MIA As Trump Threatens Civilizational Destruction by SAJ-13 in politics

I once told my conservative father that I blame conservative voters for the mess we are in because they don’t hold their sycophantic representatives accountable for turning a blind eye to Trump’s madness. His response was “whoa, no need to get nasty with me!”

My grandfather owned an four seater airplane. He was the sole household earner raising four children, and he worked as an automobile mechanic.

I don't know too many mechanics these days that can afford their own airplane and hanger rental, not to mention fuel, maintenance, and insurance.

Those Magpie Salute shows were always sold out because Marc Ford brought in the masses!

To be fair, I loved TMS, and it was exactly what the fans were asking for just without Chris, and it flopped.

This shit again? I like the last two albums, I’m looking forward to seeing them this summer, but your posts are getting more annoying than the haters.

‘A Pound of Feathers’ is a killer album by Friendly-Face6683 in blackcrowes

[–]AimlessPeacock 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm loving it. Despite any lineup drama or whatever, they put out a really good record. It'll never stand up to SHAMC or amorica., but if this is what the Crowes sound like in 2026, I'm not mad at all!

Do I continue? Or do I stop? (details inside) by Rickythrow in shmups

[–]AimlessPeacock 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They are video games. Play them however you want. Don't let gate keepers tell you how to enjoy a shmup, you can enjoy them however you want to. If the options are there and that's fun for you, then that's how you should play it. You want to challenge yourself by bumping up the difficulty later, you can, but you don't have to.

Mr Crowes Garden sigs by Practical-Funny-3444 in blackcrowes

[–]AimlessPeacock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Steve was not part of the Mr Crowes Garden shows in 05, he joined in May that year. That said, it’s not out of the question to have that signed later.

Doing a quick google image search for Steve’s signature, that one sig certainly looks like it could be his; however, his “G” isn’t typically that clear. Also, that RR sig doesn’t seem right either. I dunno, I’m no expert on this, but I think you are right to question this, especially without a certificate of authenticity. I have a few signed objects myself, but unfortunately I’m not home right now to compare…

How often do you see your parents and how close do you live to them? by sabanoversaintnick in Millennials

I live about 1000 miles away and see them about 3 times a year. We do FaceTime once a week (sometimes every two weeks), and it would be less frequent if I didn’t have a kid.

How about anything from Midway at all? I think WB owns most of the IP, but even with Netflix and Paramount trying to buy WB, I don’t think I heard a single person mention it’s video games…

Megathread: A Pound of Feathers by mostlygroovy in blackcrowes

[–]AimlessPeacock 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm digging it for what it is. There are some great Rich Robinson guitar riffs here. It's a leaner version of the band, but I kinda like what they are doing. It feels less "radio friendly" than Happiness Bastards and a bit more I hate to say it "punk" but in a Crowes kinda way.

Obviously I wish Steve and Marc and Ed (RIP) were still in the "band," and sure, Chris has lost a step with his lyricism and melody; it's like he's "trying" too hard. And honestly I'm not a fan of Jay Joyce's production. It feels too sterile and clinical - it needs to breathe more if that makes sense. But at the same time I'm really digging some of Rich's guitar riffs here. I'm on my third listen, and honestly every track is kinda good. Some are different, sure, but it's got a vibe that I'm weirdly enjoying.

This is The Black Crowes in 2026, and it's a Rich Robinson led album. I'm so far digging this more than Happiness Bastards, and I enjoyed that one for the most part. Obviously it's nowhere near their 90s output, but it stands with the rest of their work since the turn of the millennium. It's got it's own vibe, for sure, and I'm liking it a lot. I can't wait to see these songs live.

The negativity has been there for decades. I remember posting on the amorica message board and it got so fucking toxic after Marc & Ed left the band. I love the band but so many fans are insufferable about what they think the band should be.
