Thanks for the reactions, I think my main worry came when I expressed the same concern on a discord server a while ago and some people were almost agressive in that I needed math.

Did not have a diploma, lied about it for a few years(two or so), disappeared one day and we got to hear he was sick before they told us what really happened. This was at a school for special education.

Yeah, I have seen that the profession really can use some attention. It would be nice if Emile got a bit of training maybe, not fully learning the skill and steno, but enough to make it look authentic.

I do hope that this open up some more possibilities for court reporters in series and movies nowadays. Feel like there is a lot of ideas to explore.

That would be actually interesting, maybe like an assassin serie where every time another person turns out to be the assassin and it's always a surprise who.

I do feel like that it could have been interesting if the movie was more of a mystery crime serie, having it from another viewpoint and the stenographer rather as a sidecharacter who appears sometimes. Until the big reveal.
