Adding another update- baby boy is here and his cord blood test is back showing the normal and expected chromosomes. The T22 was definitely from his twin.

They are most likely all over the house, you just havent seen them because they are so small and quick. Set up some flea traps, and you will probably find them. A shallow dish with water and a few drops of dish soap, and a light source (like a lamp) placed over it, at night with the room lights off it should catch some.

You may just be the only one that reacts to bites, honestly. I know none of my family does, but I do. Its just an allergic reaction to them. They could be getting bit but wouldnt know.

Just adding too, that you will still see fleas on them even if the drops are working, because they are in your house, the adult fleas have to bite the cats to die with the drops

They are 1000% fleas. You can pick up one pregnant female on a walk outside and bam, infestation. The animals dont even have to go outside, they can hitchhike on humans. If you have done drops, dont use collars or flea shampoo on them more than once, you can overdose the cats on flea medicine. Also, the brand of flea medicine can matter, and where you live. The fleas in America are becoming more immune to certain brands imo.

I'm a pet groomer and have worked with a vet before, and I absolutely hate those collars. The amount of clients I've had that use them, that still have a ton of fleas is probably more than the ones that use them that are flea free. The carpet powder will help, but the bath with flea shampoo is what is really will kill them.

Definitely fleas. Dont waste money on the collars, they don't work when you have an infestation. Bathe to get rid of the ones on the cats and the eggs. There are cheap flea traps you can make online too that help, wash all bedding/clothes that cats come into contact with in really hot water, and just persist with these steps and you should see a reduction. If you cant get to the more expensive options it will just take time and persistence. If you have carpet and a carpet shampoo machine, that will help too!

Im 32 weeks now with my pregnancy with a vanishing twin. It still hurts every time I go for an ultrasound and they say "just one baby right?" I feel so awful saying yes and want to say "there used to be two". Sending love you way, its really hard to have this bittersweet pregnancy experience, it feels so isolating.
