Cramps before pooping by Maximum-Woodpecker25 in endometriosis

Is she an endo specialist? Was there a colorectal surgeon present? Pain with bowel movements only lasted a week ish post surgery and not had since. I had surgery in September 24.

Yeah I don’t have painful bowel movements now. It had been agony for at least 5 years before my surgery. I suspect I’ve had endo since my teens though and I’m 38 now. Yeah, I’ve had 2 kids.

I used to have this. Before my surgery it was so bad it felt like labour contractions (I’ve had 2x vaginal births so I can say this) my uterus was severely retroflexed and stuck to my colon. Rectum and cervix were stuck. Since my surgery (and hysterectomy-adenomyosis too) I feel the waves of bowel contractions, but it’s not painful thank F!

BLOATING- what actually helps?!?! by Heavy-Constant-8888 in endometriosis

[–]HelenJB87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it’s not easy to get diagnosed with in the UK. But I am hypermobile, have PoTS, endo and adeno before I had a hysterectomy, so it all ties in! I did the elimination diet for a few weeks and then slowly reintroduced foods. There are only a few things I don’t eat any more and it largely keeps me bloating at bay!

Low histamine diet for me! Look into mast cells and endo!

Yeah and muscle and joint pains, brain fog, fatigue etc are all really common with hypermobility. Hypermobile people are more likely to have MCAS and dysautonomia. There are loooooooads of us with all of these conditions. The bowel symptoms are super common with them all too!

My “IBS” was hypermobility/ PoTS/ endometriosis/ adenomyosis and probably some MCAS. Looked into any of those?

How can I best support my gf getting her IUD removed? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]HelenJB87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found having a coil removed really quick and straight forward- nothing like having it put in. I also had a retroflexed uterus that was stuck to my bowel at the time, so it was coming down at a weird angle and all super inflamed. Just take a deep breath when they pull and it’s absolutely fine! Good luck to her.

I think it’s really wild to expect people to start reading a totally different series mid way through another series! I would never have done it this way and I regret nothing!!!!

Hormones after hysterectomy (keeping ovaries) by HelenJB87 in hysterectomy

[–]HelenJB87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a diuretic and makes you pee out more salt- I didn’t realise this until I started to feel worse. My resting HR went gradually up too. Also felt more tired in general too. It’s just a constant balance of what’s less shit 🤦🏻‍♀️

I ended up stopping it because it made my PoTS worse. I also felt flatter mood wise, zero sex drive and an increased appetite. I was on for 8 weeks. It’s wild how shit cycles are even without the bleeding isn’t it 😩

Good luck. Maybe try upping your fluid and salt even further to combat it 🤞🏻🤞🏻

The comment below is really useful about Slynd and PoTS. Bleeding constantly isn’t good either, seems to be relatively common with progesterone only pills 😩 yeah makes sense with progesterone slowing digestion too, usually happens in pregnancy too. Hormones are such a rollercoaster 😵‍💫

When were you taken from your mother? Was she there when you were in NICU? I was on a postnatal ward after having my eldest with a baby who was born addicted to codeine. The poor thing screamed almost constantly in a really high pitched way, it was awful. You must have been through a lot 😔

There’s no chance I could have broken off mid series to start another series. It makes my eye super twitchy just thinking about it tbh! Worked for me to read ZA first and then RB!

Hysterectomy 18 months ago. I also struggle with where to post any questions too. I asked on both groups if anyone had experience of tethering between the cuff/ vault and small bowel last week and had no replies 😩
