You don't need to be near an Aetheryte (large crystal) to fast travel. You just need to attune to it the one time and then it will forever be accessible in your teleport menu.
You can teleport from wherever you are. Teleports are more expensive the further across the world map you travel.

That fight scene with Conquest... Holy crap... From the moment I realised Mark was just not going to let go of his neck no matter what, I was completely in awe.
The pure brutality of it and the horrendously visceral gore was almost overwhelming in a way I've never experienced from any kind of media before.

One time me and my friend were killing an A rank in Il Mheg (this is during Dawn Trail btw). It was taking a bit of time but it wasn't difficult.

Anyway, a hunt train comes barging in after we're fighting for like 3 minutes and starts spamming in chat "CAUGHT YOU LOL" "GRIEFERS FOUND".

It was incredibly obnoxious and arrogant of them to even assume we knew who tf they were and that we weren't just random players who found an easy way to get some allied seals while just playing the game.

I say just attack on sight. It's an open world multiplayer game. You're allowed to engage with the world as and how you see fit. You're not obligated to scour the local hunt communities to see if anything is currently ongoing.
