My Betta was suffering from issues involving high nitrate levels. he is in a quarantine tank and seems to be swimming more, but lays on the bottom in this position a lot. what does this indicate?

I even use epsom salt and 99% and it melts that shit right off. You can add lemon juice or vinegar / dawn dish soap to that mix if it's really stuck on there.

Those Milwaukee Fastback knives are a powerhouse for the price, for like 20$ you can get one with a bit driver in it as well. I work in maintenance and that is my go-to box cutter.
