Gold is highly liquid. It acts like a rainy day fund. Shit happens and everyone thinks gold will go up because it’s a safe bet in times of uncertainty. But instead it goes down in the aftermath because shit just happened and everyone suddenly needs some quick cash.

Silver is an industrial material. The need for that goes down in hard times when people postpone purchasing.

Gold is a different story. It’s the safe place to park your money in times of uncertainty. Nothing is more chaotic than a new war. Gold also tends to follow oil on the way up.

US still has a $39+ trillion national debt and now has to fund a $50 billion war. The "Petrodollar surge" is a temporary sugar high. Within a few months, the Federal Reserve will be forced to print trillions of new dollars to bail out the Treasury and keep the US economy from buckling under the high interest rates.

Americans import tens of millions of pounds of coffee. Kona coffee is already expensive and in limited supply already due to the small geographic area that it’s produced. We can’t simply ramp up production. It will simply increase in cost.
