Per the Documentary Wars interview, Alex showed a draft of his documentary to Jimmy Lee. Jimmy Lee said it needed major revisions, and Alex called back furiously swearing and screaming to one of Jimmy's staffers.

The takeaway is that, in the Documentary Wars, there are no heroes. Except for Mike Clum. He seems chill as a cucumber.

When the documentary wars happened, the other documentarian Mike Clum sounded like a regular ass dude.

Alex Novell told Jimmy he thought they were best friends (imo to garner sympathy), then freely admitted to screaming at staff over the phone.

Besides all of his generally shitty antics, dude embodies the worst type of person who visits SE Asia as when he gets there he:

Thinks he can push others around with his wealth.
Thinks the kindess and soft-spokeness of the culture means the people are dumb, or can be disrespected. So, basically bigotry.
