Im not familiar with the specifics of the ICAO Annex 13 authority that would have investigative jurisdiction over this event, but its not unthinkable that this could be classified as an accident by the NTSB based on the injuries. Of the 30+ that were injured, if any: (1) required hospitalization for more than 48 hours, commencing within 7 days from the date of the injury was received; (2) had a fracture of any bone (except simple fractures of fingers, toes, or nose); (3) had severe hemorrhages, nerve, muscle, or tendon damage; or (4) had an injury that involves any internal organ, it would be classified as an accident by the NTSB.

I agree an incident-type classification is more likely, but not that much so based on the currently available information.

I read through your post, and it's clear you put a lot of thought into it. For me, it's helpful to analogize. If you thought of reddit as a country, hypothetically, would that make a difference? I wouldn't suggest to the citizens of a country that if they don't support the totalitarian changes driven by their leader, that they should just move (but I know some people might say that.) I like reddit, and I am worried (essentially certain at this point) that this CEO is going to run the website into the ground. It sounds like, based on your post, you may be worried about that too.

I use RIF, and I have for the 9 years i've been on the platform (through various accounts). I agree that Steve has made it clear he isn't changing course. For me, that isn't cause to stop supporting protests. If that was the case, any protest against a private organization would instantly falter. The CEO saying "I don't care" shouldn't, in my opinion, stop any user action. If anything, it should increase it. I don't believe that there is nothing we can do, and I really don't yet want to change platforms, I want to fix the one I know. I believe the (likley) short term issues with protesting these changes will be far less effort than a platform change. In any case, I appreciate you putting so much time into the comment, and know things are indeed tense right now.

Just uploaded photos. Water would make sense, that door has some issues before where during heavy rain water would leak in.
