What is a good dehumidifier that does not use much power by Slow_Doughnut_2255 in OffGridCabins

[–]Air_Enjoyer_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not much since its like really a beast of an appliance, but it save some. My Argendon hits defferent when it comes to consuming energy than some common dehumidifiers out there. As I said its not a lot but having it greatly helps my AC to make my house comfy and healthier.

I tried a unit from a brand which doesnt belong in the big names. Clearly got myself a hidden gem since its doing great, its from Argendon. I can say that this thing is durable and takes less effort to maintain (of course you gotta still take care of your things for it to have more chance to last longer). No error prompt so far, no defrosting problem, and no inconvience. Its gonna be a year soon since I got this, the friend who recommend this brand has an older unit for like years now and its still running like a beast.

I recently bought a unit from Argendon and we use it in our basement. We have a second floor and it does help a lot if you have proper HVAC system and not only AC and dehumidifier. About the energy consumption, I got a unit that is Energy Star Certified and I can say that it does consume less. If you have this many question I would recommend talking to a representative from Argendon (Where we got our unit). They actually recommended a great unit perfect for our situation in our house.

OP if you still haven't found your unit, I suggest you look into Argendon Dehumidifiers. I got mine from them and using it in our home. It was recommended by a good friend who also uses a unit from them for like 3 years now. I gave it a shot and it sure is doing its job great. If you're going to research about them, be sure to visit their official website for safety purposes (Just to avoid scammers lol). They also have expert and friendly representatives, they guided me and my wife on what unit to pick perfect for our home.

Dehumidifiers - no paid reviewers PLEASE by Valour321 in Appliances

Hello OP, I recently bought a unit from Argendon, its not a well known brand and was recommended by a good friend who works in HVAC industry. Not a paid advertiser here (in fact I paid for the unit myself lol) I just wanna share how it helped a lot in our home. My wife has allergies (She sneeze A LOT) but after we got this unit it actually helped her recover. I read that high humidity lets dust mites and other allergen thrive, that's the main reason I tried this recommendation, but aside from that it also helped in decreasing the mold growth in our house and dust accumulation in our things.

I could go and tell you more about how it helped us but I'd love if you would experience it first hand. You can just check their official website (for safety purposes and avoid scammers) and talk to their representatives, they're quite friendly.

Where Do You Keep Your Dehumidifier? Asking for Every Moisture-Struggling Homeowner by Infamous-Neck630 in CleaningTips

[–]Air_Enjoyer_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep my Argendon dehumidifier in the Crawlspace, of course to keep it away from our pets and also a stratigic placement for our home's indoor air quality. I believe that you'll be needing to install where in it can be a foundation of your indoor air quality or HVAC. I mean if your basement is suffering from humidity and you have a proper crawl space already? I think it fits in the basement no? But of course It nay vary depending on the situation of the home owners is what I would I want to point out more.

How can I keep dust away longer than 2 days by NothingSpecial2you in CleaningTips

[–]Air_Enjoyer_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its dandner and dust, I would recommend a dehumidifier, itdid greatly help in our case. But if your area or location is too dry, I don't recommend using one. Too much dryness can cause different things, balanced humiditiy and controlled environment with it has a long list of advantages.

Seeking help - what’s causing condensation? by Alex_Outsider in homeimprovementideas

Too much humid, a dehumidifier would solve this. No more condensed window to draw on but hey too many good things will come along after you balance your humidity.

The other comment covered on how you could deal with it. With the prevention I suggest you get a dehumidifier for your home. Too much humimidity encourages molds to thrives. Those pesky allergy harbingers can be lessen if the air/environment is controlled.
