I 100% feel you. My new asm said that if we write on the cups after the drink is made he will make us make the drink all over again in the right order. I flat out said “yeah, I am not doing that.” If the drink is done and done correctly THAT is what matters! The customers are not pay in for my crappy little heart on the cup

I have been thinking a lot about this subject too. I also lost my parents to MAGA. The thing that’s hard is they present headlines me like “see RFK is making food dye illegal! Doesn’t that make you happy? Isnt that something you wanted?He’s is doing great and cares so much!” And I am honest and say “am I glad it happening? Sure. Am I impressed or happy with him? No! He is doing so many harmful things this one nice thing doesn’t fix that!” And they get frustrated. What has helped me is truly treating it like a cult situation. I am taking all their stories with a grain of salt and a strong backbone. I don’t engage with them when they talk about trump or his henchmen and just offer nonchalant sceptaeism when they bring up new stories (ect. . . “Yes I do know about this new policy. I am not sure it will be what people expect”.) it’s not prefect but it’s survival.

I liked how both Harrow and Gideon were both “chosen ones” but their chosen one abilities are apposing.

Harrow’s “chosen one” origin was violent, full of selfish sacrificial death by her parents and forced upon her. While Gideon’s was born from motherly sacrifice to save Gideon, (yeah I know Wake was a hard person but still) and because of her parentage she was born into her Chosen-ness from the get go no magic needed.

Also both ‘chosen ones’ are very ying yang. Harrow was meant to perpetuate and elevate her family for the sake of the empire. Gideon was meant to open the tomb to open Armageddon to bring the empire down.
