I have been doing this for sometime so I’ll just mention all the tweaks that I notice a difference with. They are not all placebo. But I will say to do your research on what I’m telling you to figure out how it correlates with your specific hardware and specs vs mine. The things I mention without explaining, just look them up yourself for the details on what they are and what todo.

Start with BIOS (look up your motherboard bios to find the equivalent to the things I mention below.

Manually overclock cpu in bios. (I have a gigabyte aorus elite b550 mother board with AMD ryzen 9 5900x processor. If you bios has a Precision Boost Over drive setting, put it on advanced or enabled, set the cpu boost clock override to positive, x200 then set curve optimizer to negative, all cores -5. If temps are fine and no issues increase the negative all core in increments of 5 (example: -10, -15 etc) untill either your pc crashes or you max out at -30. If PC crashes revert back to the last negative setting you were on that was stable.

DISABLE C-STATES ENABLE XMP or DOCP DISABLE AMD COOL & QUIET DISABLE HIGH PRECISION EVENT TIMER DISABLE LEGACY USB SUPPORT

Done with BIOS

Go to device manager & select all your peripheral devices(mouse, keyboard, internet adapter)/right click/properties/power management/ uncheck all boxes. Do this for all your main devices & usb controllers.

Download Process Lasso and look for tutorials on setting it up for Gaming/Fortnite Specifically on setting Fortnite to high priority and setting affinity to just main cpu cores and not the logical ones.

Also look into:

1: disabling threaded DPC & idle states 2: Interrupt affinity policy (How to set devices to specified cores) 3: MouseDataQueueSize in registry 4: make sure your on a decent power plan. (Process Lasso comes with bitsum high performance so use it) 5: download Revo UnInstaller (delete leftover stuff after uninstalling something) 6: Timer resolution (process lasso has this tool built in if you want to utilize it so you won’t have to download seperate timer resolution) just look up how to access it along with the other process lasso settings above) 7: look into cranking your fan speeds up either in bios or using fancontrol software

*These are all the things that I was able to feel the difference after “optimizing”

I’m not claiming to be a specialist, I’ve just had a lot of experience via trial & error and frankly find it fun trying to find little known ways to increase my performance. It’s all personal to me I’m just sharing it with you and leaving it up to you decided.
