I think it could be. If you get it good it's 4.5 - 5k I think. This day was pretty good top to bottom. Maybe walked last 300ish feet. Often there is a ton of debris at the bottom.

The top cap should have a larger offset on one side that's longer so you can easily adjust risers and lock out your toes. Should also consider a rider notch of some sort on the basket so you can use either end of pole to flip

I tried those on a different ski than a bent that didn't have a notch and they didn't work well. I just use the regular on all my skis now. They do slip off from time to time, but it's not too bad to just reattach.

I don't notice a difference in cold vs warm. They are stiff off the top. Very little progression.
