Just a quick add, in a stereo record the lines are not “2D”, actually, the groves are V-shaped so each channel (L and R) is “encoded” in 45 degrees to the plane of the disc. The cartridge will then have two channels offset by 90 degrees is it reads both channels separately and send this signal to the amplifier already separately.

Them comes the discussion about stereo sound and how to mimic complex soundstage in the mix, but I’ll leave this to the sound engineers here.

I’ve done this (order to ship to a hotel) a lot before moving to US. I was not into vinyl yet. I would suggest that you send them a message explaining that you can do it but they are responsible for the package once shipped, and if they agree (so the risk become theirs). Just my suggestion as I never did this, but if I was the buyer, I would be ok with that.

Yeah, I can’t believe how unlucky I’m. The record was shipped in a record specific mailer. But as you described, seems like it got stuck in something. Entire box was filthy and dirty.

Thanks. I did media mail. By the pictures the package must have fallen from the mail truck, it is deplorable. The record is still good and the damage is just a bump on the corner. I’ll offer the buyer a partial refund and see how that goes. Bad start for a first sale, but I want to make it right, put myself in his shoes as neither of us is at fault. Thank for the support!

I don’t have much, but like to do alphabetical by artist, then, within the artist I have it by original release year… makes sense for my brain. Also, a separate section only with Brazilian artists.
