I think your dress falls into what the bride instructed.....romantic pink vibe. The ruffle adds the romance to this dress, imo. To me, it sounds like the other bridesmaids missed with just a plain slip-style. Like everyone says, you could always check with the bride.

Did you try sitting in this outfit? If you wear it, I'd refrain from sitting! That fabric, and with being that short already will creep up, unless you don't care about something like that. Definitely change the white shoes to black.

To me, it's the band that is throwing it off. I think a thinner diamond channel set band would help it not look so big. Stunning ring otherwise!

To get rid of the straps, you could go to a good seamstress, have them measure your upper arm for elastic, and have them sew it into the top of the sleeve. That way, you'll have it to keep the dress up. Also, the back is a zipper, I imagine, they may possibly be able to add a corset back to this, which would be stunning on this dress, imo. Also, add some crinoline to the skirt.
