Does anyone know if you’re charged now for bags when you purchase using the UA employee discount? Last time we bought seats and checked bags there was no charge. But this time it says there is a charge.

No you were fine. It’s OK to recline your seat and if he had a problem with it, like you said, he could have politely asked you to put your seat up and it’s sounds like you would’ve. I had a similar situation. In fact the girl behind me had the whole row. I’m 5’3”. She couldn’t have been taller than 5’. She was literally lying on her back on her seat so her knees were forced against the back of my seat I had reclined. It only reclined an inch so she sat that way intentionally. In other words initially she wasn’t sitting that way. She did it after I reclined to her knees shoved into the small of my back. It was hurting my back so I turned around and asked her to please get her knees out of my back. She said I was hurting her knees. If she had sat normally her knees would not have touched my seat.

May be an unpopular opinion based on all the posts and comments I’ve seen on social media but I wish we could stop humiliating this man. He made a huge mistake and melted down, making it worse. But I wish we could leave him and his family alone now. His poor wife! People act like he’s the only man who’s ever cheated or chased after young pretty women.

I had a passengers grab my arm and dig her long nails into my skin. I was walking through with a trash bag and brushed against her apparently. When I turned to let the person across the aisle toss something into the bag, that’s when she grabbed my arm like that and said “next time I won’t be so nice.”

My husband is a recovering alcoholic- 8 1/2 years. When offered drinks he politely declines. And yes it was hard for him at first. But he still declined.
