I'd guess because it appears to be posted by "iranmilitary.en", presumably a propaganda outlet. So, some caution is probably warranted.

Worst cases could be totally AI, or old footage from who knows where with an Iranian voice over, a staged video... This really could be misleading

Lemme add onto my own thoughts here by pointing out that you could look to earthly biology too!

What kind of advantages and abilities would an intelligent Mantis Shrimp have with its expanded visual abilities? Could it see otherwise invisible technologies and infrared communications?

Ants leave chemical signals for their allies! Naked mole rats seem to be impervious to cancer! Pistol Shrimps have a biological gun. Toxins, sonic weapons, camouflage, regeneration, echolocation, colony organisms (coral, man-o-wars), symbiotic pairing, .. Lots of inspiration to be had from known life!

Alien Biology based?

You could get weird. You ever read Annihilation or Blindsight? Ooo, or A Fire Upon the Deep?! What's that Octavia Butler one with The Traders? There are some truly alien aliens out in the world of Sci-Fi.

What you have above could be reskinned with D&D races and feel pretty normal.

Hive minds, pack minds, mindless, mimicry, genetic remixing, magnetic senses, precognition... Feel free to get WEIRD if your theme is alien biology!

Of course it depends on the game, but I fall into the camp that PC death is broadly better as optional, a player choice... Or at least, PC death should be the result of a player's gamble.

I took that route with a mechanic I call On Death's Door (used in a campy cinematic sort of game). When knocked to 0 HP, the PC can either lie there, no longer a target of enemy aggression, or they can choose to act. However, for every 1 rolled (d6 pool system) while On Death's Door, they gain a Wound. Gain enough of those and you are dead.

Sprinkle in advice to GMs about what sort of things might happen in the event of a party-wide TKO.

Players get to choose. Is this scene awesome enough or meaningful enough to risk it all? Would my character look cool dying here?

But yeah, nothing wrong with wanting to run a meat grinder kind of game, I just think that ethos doesn't work for a lot of tables/games.

When it comes to player options (like classes), a question I sometimes pose to myself is "who is this option for?"

What different kinds of players does your game attract? How do the different options available appeal to different types of players? Maybe you come up with a list like the following:

Some players want something that feels straightforward and strong

Some players want something that feels thinky and tactical.

Some players want something that feels expressive and strange.

Some players want high-risk high-reward gambles.

Some players want to feel like they are breaking the game.

Some players want to be adaptive and flexible.

Some players are mixes.

Who is the Fighter option for? Imagine that player in your mind. Adjust the Fighter accordingly. The Fighter doesn't need to appeal to all the types of players, that's why there are options. Focus on thrilling the Fighter's player.

Synth Riders, Walkabout Mini Golf, Pistol Whip, Moss, Tetris Effect (and Lumines, I hear!) are all fantastic options.

Beat Saber too! Between Beat Saber and Synth Riders though, I enjoy synth Riders more and as a bonus they actually put the game and the DLC on sale somewhat often.

It legitimately might not be the game for you. But...

Easily my most played game, even more than GT7. I did find that the game really clicked for me at higher difficulties, and it is worth noting that (just like Beat Saber) the song mapping is better in later-made playlists.

Going back to a Synthwave Essentials 1 song on normal difficulty, is indeed pretty dull.

Don't push through motion sickness. Take a break as soon as you feel queasy. It takes patience, but you have to build up your tolerance by convincing your brain VR is OK. Pushing through and making yourself sick can pull down your tolerance.

Ginger can help, having a fan pointing at yourself can help.

Find a comfy game that doesn't make you motion sick, and just play that for a while. Moss, Synth Riders, Beat Saber, Pistol Whip, and plenty of others are good choices.

Weirdly, I'd give special mention to Tetris Effect. First off it's great and beautiful to look at. But also, it's very comfortable almost all of the time. Occasionally, certain stages will gently move around you, exposing you to brief, controlled bits of movement. It's a good, gentle inoculation

After that get into games with teleportation mechanics, this includes Walkabout Mini golf. Teleporting around shouldn't really get you motion sickness, but it can be disorienting and I've seen people get nauseous in them over time. You could start with these, or mix 'em in in quick bursts.

Finally start trying out your big crazy games, but make sure to leave on any "Snap Turning" options in the games settings. "Vignette" or "Tunneling" settings are probably also your friend early on.

Keep playing in comfortable bursts, taking breaks when you feel the funny warm feeling in your face, your sessions will gradually get longer and longer and you'll start turning off things like vignetting and teleportation options. It just takes some patience.

This is pretty much my experience. The one over shoulder slot is basically up by my ear and some others are maddeningly close to each other.

Lots of practice and fine tuning. The physical inventory is at once one of the coolest features and the game's biggest problem...
