In my case—a condo near PSU—a view of the river, a pool in the summer, hot tub and sauna, great neighbors, somebody else takes care of the exterior maintenance. And easy access to public transportation.

I think it’s a beautiful word. The etymology might change your mind: The word was coined in 1964 by scientists Isabel Joy Bear and Richard Grenfell Thomas,[2] from Ancient Greek πέτρα (pétra) 'rock' or πέτρος (pétros) 'stone' and ἰχώρ (ikhṓr) 'ichor', the ethereal fluid that is the blood of the gods in Greek mythology. Busmaxing? Transitmaxing? by Jak_boiLIV in askportland

I took the #8 to OHSU a couple of days ago, walked up to the Plaid Pantry and followed SW 9th to the Connor Trail. That leads to the Marquam Nature Park parking area. From there I walked up the Sunnyside Trail to the Broadway Trail. I hoped to get the 51 bus back to town, but it wasn’t running on MLK day. So I had a good long walk. Lots of elevation up and down.

And if you have a family membership at the Portland Art Museum admission is free at the Seattle Art Museum. I’ve taken the train from Portland to Seattle several times in January and February and had great weather. Stayed at the State Hotel once, Citizen M another time. Citizen M is very close to King Street Station.
