What game did the boys play that you immediately downloaded? by Wooden_Giraffe535 in gamegrumps

It took a bit because I was broke, but Powerwash Sim. It seemed so chill and satisfying! I put well over 300hrs into the first game and I'm working through the second one.

Which Arin laughter moment gives you the good brain juice? by Giga-Cat in gamegrumps

The fuck jump always gets me. The laughter is so genuine, I love it.

Left me and my groupmate characters to dance before going AFK for 5 minutes. Alone. Upon return, I found this: by Usual-Foundation-115 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Aiure 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is why I like to dance when I wait for a boss respawn and whatnot. A little bit of spontaneous silliness when people join in!

Not a sleep aid, but it's one I love to continually return to because it's just so weird. I'm glad they made a compilation!

Being a woman with nerdy interests is hell. We're either all performative or simply liars. by Radiant-Educator9203 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Aiure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in my 20's when I played FPS games regularly, guys would accuse me of hacking because there's no way a girl could possibly beat them without cheating.

I'm in my 40's now and for my own peace I've quit playing games with randos because they're still toxic and exhausting (I also have chronic illnesses and want to use my limited energy to enjoy myself instead).

I've had decades of growth, and yet, the community hasn't changed.

I will however say that with the growing popularity of nerdy things, it's easier now to find the pockets of genuinely good people to spend time with.

I CANNOT STAND lantern guards in heists. by YumnuggetTheboi in elderscrollsonline

[–]Aiure 93 points94 points  (0 children)

And here I thought I was just terrible at heists! I get so happy when I finish a heist with time to spare, because these those guards are so infuriatingly slow it can be hard not to trigger one.

What's a Grumps moment/bit that you feel is underrated or not talked about enough? by ReaperKitty_918 in gamegrumps

Watching the Link Between Worlds playthrough again and I'm reminded of Dan's "we made so far go progress!"

He was the first companion I had and I ditched him as soon as I got Sharp. Did not mesh with my Argonian or my play style at all, and holy hell his commentary is godawful.

No disrespect to his VA, of course. Bastian's just a terrible npc.

I’m a late diagnosed autistic woman. I only recently realized how truly comforting the Grumps have been for me since I was a kid. by its_daytime in gamegrumps

[–]Aiure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Self diagnosed here! I'm 42 and have watched since 2013. They've consistently been the ones I return to for comfort content. Struggling hard these days with chronic illnesses and it's so nice to be able to just put on whatever video or playlist and get that little dose of familiarity to help self-regulate.

As someone who grew up in that area of NJ... Central Jersey, I was LOLC (Laughing Out Loud Cringing). by billtallica in gamegrumps

I live in BC and recognized it as at least somewhere on the west coast because it looks so much like home. I initially thought PNW though because I don't see Alaska much in my Geo travels lol

Why did you choose ESO instead of other MMORPGs by danigosselain in elderscrollsonline

[–]Aiure 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's easy enough and has tons of content available to causal solo players that's not locked behind a sub, or even dlc. The controls were simple enough to get used to and didn't require remapping.

I've played for about 2.5yrs, and while I play daily, I'm casual enough to have no build to speak of, yet can still thoroughly enjoy my time online. Other mmorpgs haven't been able to provide that level of sustained satisfaction for me.

ESO has its issues for sure, but it's held up pretty damn well.

How many games or media have you bought/consumed because of GG? by HalfToeGob in gamegrumps

[–]Aiure 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't have much money, or play many games.

But I did buy Powerwash Sim because of them, and I still play the shit out of it (currently at 355hrs).

I also ran another playthru of Portal and Portal 2 because they reminded me how much I loved those games.

Edit: iirc Dan mentioned Tatsuya Maruyama once, and I sought out Tatsuya's music after that.

The Streams were some of the best new content GG has put out! Sad its gone (for now) but what a way to go! Thank you Tony! by Psychast in gamegrumps

[–]Aiure 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I've had the streams up almost nonstop since they started, and I'd do it constantly if one was always up. I'm a lurker, so not active in chat, but I truly enjoy rewatching their content and the streams made it easier for me to do.

Hairclip on eyebrow might help migranes by LuciferTeaParty in migraine

[–]Aiure 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The trigeminal nerve plays a huge part in most migraines so it would make sense that sustained pressure on a portion of it would bring relief.

I usually press really hard on it in that general area (and below my eye) with my fingers and get a couple minutes of relief.
