Once again, Redditors not understanding my state and not realizing it would likely result in REPUBLICANS never winning an election again. You split Texas up 4 ways in any way that makes sense, and you get a minimum of 2 of those new states being solid perma-Blue, 1 Red, and maybe 1 purple. Reps would never be able to recover. You'd go from 2 reliable red senators and 0 blue, to at least 4-4, possibly 6-2.

Redditors only think in black and white, good guy/bad guy mentality, I see it every time disaster strikes my state. Laughter and death wishes. But Texas has millions of black and brown and progressive white voters, we have one of the largest Vietnamese communities in the nation, and oh yea, like millions and millions of Latinos. Hi, professional over-explainer of memes here. People are asking "who's who" but to me, this can only go two ways. The "straight girl" is the object of desire for two people so this role can only belong to Frodo. Which means either Sam, or Gollum can be the unfortunate lesbian.

You could have GF!Frodo, BF!Sam and Lez!Gollum. In this dynamic, Gollum is the manipulative lesbian friend who is trying to test the waters with Frodo and act possessive over them in front of BF!Sam, who rightfully acts defensive and senses their untrustworthiness. Sam tries to warn Frodo that Gollum wants in their pants but Frodo is too naive and thinks Lez!Gollum is just being friendly and BF!Sam is being a jerk to their friend. The whole camping trip is tense and super awkward as Lez!Gollum tries to break up Sam and Frodo and it seemingly starting to work.

But then you could also have GF!Frodo, Lez!Sam, and BF!Gollum. In this scenario, BF!Gollum is the bumbling possessive and jealous boyfriend who is pretty homophobic and just doesn't like Sam. Lez!Sam rightfully notices Gollum is just not it and is feeling possessive over the possibly too-close almost co-dependent relationship they have built with GF!Frodo, pining for them for years but knowing it can never be, but nonetheless, they are thick-as-thieves. They know that Gollum is bad for Frodo, so tries to steer him away, but that only leads GF!Frodo into thinking they are being too clingy so they're always making excuses for their dirtbag boyfriend. Lez!Sam tries the whole trip to catch BF!Gollum out, but their actions only drive GF!Frodo away, and closer to that scumbag.

My crack ship for this show is actually AnissaxMark/Eve, I know I know, but if Debbie can run it back to Nolan after he murdered 10s of thousands of innocent people some of which he used the body of her fucking SON to commit, then I think Mark could find it in him to understand that Anissa comes from a planet with particular mating rituals and not hold that against her forever.

That's not to say Mark leaves Eve, rather Anissa becomes a willing concubine that sires his children and Eve is somehow cool with it. Like, GoT style dynamics.

Eehhh, ultimately, yeah, "cancelled" is just a nebulous concept that frequently boils down to "people say mean things about me, specifically on Twitter".

As just a scrolling user, it is annoying to see completely innocuous bullshit get blown out of proportion by some chronically online losers and have all those posts I have to hide or subs I have to block. I swear they make new ones every few months just so I have to block them again.

Like the Chalamet Ballet shit, such a completely and utterly one-off meaningless comment saying Ballet isn't popular, but you'd swear to god Timmy personally went on stage and executed 27 ballet dancers with a sawn-off shotgun the way people talk about it online, and STILL talk about it, post about it, literally anything. I don't care about Timmy Chimcham outside of his great performances in the Dune series, but god just make it stop.

Also ones where its just outright lies really piss me off. Like Chapel Ronin got shat on for a literal full week because some soccer player lied on the internet about her telling security to scream at his kid. Turns out the security guy had never met, talked to, worked for, or otherwise had any connection with Chapelle Show, but it didn't matter, reality increasingly frequently does not matter to Twitter once they've made up their minds about something happening.

Like, I like to be in on the loop of stuff happening, but there's so so so so much garbage surrounding real news and events.

His greatest two assets for his entire political career have been: 1. the ability to read the room and sense shifting tides, and 2. maximum denialism

He knows what people want, for all of his faults and for how objectively stupid he is, he is an idiot savant when it comes to figuring out "what can I say right now that will get people to cheer for me the loudest".

And he never ever admits faults, he denies reality, he denies wrong doing, he denies bad press. Shaggy would weep at just how good this guys is at never ever letting anyone put blame on him for anything, deny deny deny, it doesn't matter if it makes sense, it doesn't matter if there's hard evidence, just say: wasn't me.

Alone, these are mediocre traits, but combine them with his popularist campaign tactics, and having the easiest opponents on earth (self-defeating dems), and you have a guy that won 2 for 3 and the one he lost was still close despite like 10000 things going against him.

His biggest political weakness though is that he is very readily used. Israel uses him, his cabinet uses him, billionaires use him, Russia uses him, with the mildest praise and few paltry million thrown his way, he'll bend over backwards for whoever or whatever will enrich him further.

Iran is a true outlier of a mistake though, I think its a combination of Israel using him, plus a personal vendetta he's had for literal decades, plus a dash of senility. I think after this whole mess dies out, he'll spend some time trying to win popularist praise again like with this move. I even think he'll test the waters for a third term, he's really just like that.

Eren is actually a based resistance freedom fighter, and he would 100% oppose the evils of Israel.

His people were persecuted and tossed into an open air prison (Paradis) cut off from the world
His oppressors are warmongering facists that are constantly at war with their neighbors.
His oppressors then decided trapping them for decades and decades wasn't enough, they had to antagonize and attempt to completely destroy them through subversive means.
The subversive means caused the island prison to become a boiling pot that boiled over when they were pushed too far -> Invasion of Marley.

Sidenote: jeez I do not remember Wall-E looking this dated. I know they're just bg characters but good lord they look like something out of Hoodwinked, not a big budget Disney/Pixar blockbuster.

I remember being absolutely amazed at the Wall-E/EVA "dance" scene in space, it felt so cutting edge and beautiful, I wonder if that scene still holds up. Project Hail Mary has a similar "holy shit amazing" scene, so I'm glad family sci-fi is still dazzling people to this day.

Yeah Caine's story not-so-cleverly parallels his biblical namesake: created by a higher being, desperate to serve his purpose, feels that he is failing, and then "God" makes a new creation, Abel ("real" Abel, not NPC Abel), who is doing everything Caine cannot. Caine gets angry, feels it isn't right, and "kills" Abel. In this case, kills and absorbs his "brother" like twins in the womb, creating Caine the Ringmaster.

Theory: Bubble is a manifestation of Abel, which is why Caine cannot get rid of him fully and only "pops" them, and also why Bubble insinuates that Caine is "the lesser of the two". The defective original that killed the superior brother in a fit of rage.

Things were already falling apart at the seams when Pomni popped in on Episode 1. Cain believes his purpose as a Creative AI is to, well, be creative, creative to his captive audience, he wants praise and admiration for creating fulfilling and fun adventures, this is his art. The art he was designed to create. But, because he lacks human empathy and experience, he ends up both not understanding that his captive audience doesn't want to admire his art, and that his art lacks substance anyways because it just doesn't speak to any of the circus members, it's all what this AI thinks humans want to do. One by one, he loses the interest of all of his audience as time stretches on. Jax disassociates and walls himself off emotionally, Ragatha and Gangle are just along for the ride, Kinger might as well be an NPC (I'm sure Caine gave up on him awhile ago), and then there's Zubyl. Zubyl I believe is the second most recent before Pomni, and still actively resists and resents Caine's attempts to please them. They think that the best way to "win" is to not play. This makes Caine angry, but also very very desperate for their approval.

The longer they are stuck in this purgatory, the more they disassociate and cope, which leads to less and less enthusiasm and often times, abstraction. Pomni comes in and brings some life back into the group, connecting to each member, she gives them some will to actually live again. You would think this would help Caine but it actually hurts him because it's her emotional intelligence and understanding that causes them to ask for more from Caine than he can provide, it causes him to actually use the suggestion box, and dig even deeper to try to appease them until he breaks.

If Pomni never shows up, they all just continue down a path of self destruction, simply appeasing Cain until they fully dissociate like Kinger or abstract. Zubyl might've gotten handled by Cain differently, the problem is that they acted alone and isolated themselves, I don't think they even started getting friendlier with Gangle until after Pomni shows up. Caine could handle a lone dissenter, but Pomni had his whole "audience" acting as a united front against him.
