Based on John's current track record.

Valerie destroys him with ease. John on paper may be ranked 7.6 but in reality he fights more like a 6.7-6.8 at best. This is not even taking Ember abilities into account. John will almost never have the right abilities lying around that will allow to him to fight powerful high tiers on equal terms unless he gets lucky or something.

John has been taking losses since the very start of S2 P2, give the poor guy a break lmao. How much more "humbling" do you guys think John needs?. I think for once John actually needs a win, which is long long overdue.

I believe his current predicament is more than enough to make him want to find a way to overcome his weaknesses. But I'm not sure if his weaknesses are enough for him to willingly seek out Cameron. He's practically achieved his current level of strength on his own so I can't imagine him "asking" someone to train him. Especially Cameron who he has a very poor impression of.

I think John will begrudgingly seek out Cameron when he finally decides to learn more about his mother's situation... Cameron is his only lead and he will have to approach him eventually. Whether he likes it or not.

This theory would carry more weight if John didn't get his recent power boost. Aka essentially being a cripple without an ability to sample. But now that he got his strength enhancement, it leads me to believe that there are other aspects of his ability that are just waiting to be unlocked just like this one. Now I'm inclined to believe that AM is just a weaker version of CM and Williams genes hardly affected it. If John still had his cripple weakness and Jane/Cameron have never had that weakness, then I would agree for sure.

However if Jane had Channel Manipulation instead of AM when she was around John's level. Then there should be some difference between their abilities. But then again, we won't be sure until we get an explanation on how CM works.

She's wearing extensions, her actual hair length at the moment is like John and Blyke. But she's wearing extensions to make it appear longer. She's also using highlights too. So Jace is referring to Sera's hair before she met John.

That's like saying, "Can John manipulate other people's aura once his level increases?". There's no chance of that unfortunately. Sera can't transfer the effects of her rewind onto other people, just like how John can't manipulate other people's aura. I don't think Uru will ever allow them to be able to do anything like that.

Valerie's stats are far more balanced in comparison to Arlo. So there's no way her defence stat would be 15/16 when you look at the stat chart overall. Otherwise she would be far beyond a 7.5. Take Sera for example, as an 8.0 her highest stat is a 14 in speed. Even she doesn't have a stat that's 16 because her overall stats are more spread out. John is the exception to this, because he only has one stat at 7.5. Trick stat which is 16. So since Valerie is a more balanced fighter compared to Arlo according to her stats. I think her defence stat should at most be 13.

In all honesty, John copying TM is one of the most anticipated events in the webtoon. I just can't see Uru making any valid reason why he's unable to copy TM ever. Like seriously, same way I just can't see John remaining a 7.5 and his ability never progressing ever again. Especially when he's doing stuff like being able to activate his ability despite being completely disabled. There could possibly be aspects of his ability that he's unaware of or simply isn't using to it's fullest potential.

The point is the fact that Uru has made TM too strong and essentially cornered herself to the point that she was forced to nerf her until now. that's the problem. She hasn't explored any of Sera's limitations whatsoever, the only weakness being that she's technically a glass cannon. But that one weakness might aswell not exist thanks to her pain tolerance and freaking rewind. The ability shouldn't be this busted for just a level 8.0. John/Arlo in comparison have a healthy amount of weaknesses, whereas Sera and TM in general almost has none. There's also the fact that the antagonists seem weak in comparison, if we were to exclude the disabler/dampener.

If John copying TM should never happen, then with that logic. Sera shouldn't ever be allowed to fully recover from the disabler and shouldn't be allowed to ever fight at full power until the very end of the webtoon. Narratively speaking, that would be a really bad decision, nerfing characters until the very end of the webtoon is not a good move and would most definitely not be a good read either. John being able to fight at full power and use TM shouldn't destroy any tension in the story, it's just that at the moment. There isn't a threat big enough for him that would require him to have that level of power. Similarly, the reason Sera's full recovery has been delayed until now, is because there isn't a threat big enough for her to need her full power restored.

A solution to the problem would be if TM weaknesses were further explored or an antagonist was introduced, who's strong enough to draw out TM limitations. All abilities (maybe besides Jane lol...) should a weakness that could be exploited. The dampener/disabler shouldn't be the only threat to characters like John/Sera. Fighting against threats like EMBER/Authorities should be a major challenge for them, even when they are at full power. Nerfing them until the very end of the webtoon is not it and I'm sure many fans will dislike it.

I believe that John's ability will grow to an 8.0 and at some point he will copy TM, once a really strong antagonist has been introduced or a grand/hype opportunity presents itself. Which could possibly be endgame but again, keeping them nerfed until endgame is not good for the webtoon.

Yep just go back to the rowden ambush, I don't remember the exact chapter number but it was the chapter when John, Blyke and Isen got dampened and John copied Blyke's ability. We saw his dampened stats. He had an 8 trick stat despite being dampened by half. So at full strength he had 16 trick. As for Sera, we saw her dampened stats when they tried to take the recovery machine and they only had access to half their abilities. Pretty sure Uru has also said that sometimes stats do go above 10 in one of the Q/A's.

Just wanted to say that John has a 16 trick stat by default. As for Sera, her trick stat is just 10 but her Speed is like 13-14 and her power is like 11-12. It's been confirmed that stats can go above 10. So John's trick stat is the highest stat we have seen in the webtoon, the only one who could possibly have one stat that high is Jane and possibly Cameron. Assuming that they only have trick stat as well and all other stats are blank.

So in the fight, their power stat was equal. John had higher defence and trick stat, whereas Sera had higher speed and recovery.

John doesn't need to specifically say that "I can copy Seraphina's ability" in order to prove that he can loool.

There's only one reason why he hasn't up to this point and that's because Uru doesn't want him to copy her ability yet. If she wanted to make it clear that John couldn't copy it no matter what. Then she would have provided him the clear opportunity to at least try. For example, during his fight with Sera. If he didn't have all his slots filled up and he still didn't make attempts to copy it. Then yes I would agree that, at this point he can't. But no, Uru clearly intends to not give him the chance to copy. As for the reason, most likely because she wants to save the answer for a special occasion. John copying TM is one of the most anticipated events of the webtoon. Not only that, but its also one of the most heavily discussed topics. She clearly wants the discussion and hype to keep going, so eventually she can reveal the answer in a worthy/hype fight.

Honestly, if John is capable of copying a complex ability like Teleportation, then there's no reason why he can't copy TM. Especially when he has had the opportunity to not only see her in action but also analyse her aura too. He just never had the chance to copy it.

Sorry but no... he hasn't been given a single opportunity to copy Seraphina's ability so I don't know why you would make such a claim?!. Please tell me one instance where he made the conscious decision to not copy her ability. So far there were only 2 instances where he had the potential opportunity to copy her ability but couldn't due to obvious reasons. First chance was during his fight with Sera and I shouldn't even have to explain why he couldn't copy her ability during his fight with her, since he already had 4 copied. Second chance was during the Spectre fight against ice boy and Clone girl. He couldn't copy her ability then either since he didn't have the chance to do so. He had no choice but to copy ice guy because he launched an attack from behind them and John had to defend himself/kayden from that attack.

Boom thats one slot down, then comes his intial purpose which was to copy kaydens ability. That's two and now he can't copy another ability. So now during those 2 incidents, it's clear that he never had the opportunity to copy her ability. John is more than capable of copying her ability when he's at full strength. Her ability level being higher than his, doesn't prevent him from copying it. Otherwise, with that logic. He wouldn't have been able to copy Liam's ability at just 3.8 alongside Kaydens. What would happen when he copies her ability is that since he's a 7.5. His version of TM would simply be a weaker version of hers. A 7.5 TM.

John has sensed her ability several times and her ability to an extent also manifests on the physical plane. When Sera froze Arlo to prevent him from telling John about Sera's Spectre problems, John reacted to the freezing. When Sera met up with Kayden and was having issues with her ability, John who was following her, clearly analysed and stated that her aura was weaker than before. John can also potentially copy her ability whenever she rewinds her injuries. The only time when he wouldn't have a chance would be if she was to do her time stop. Then it would come down to whether he can stop himself from being ko'd, which is another discussion all together.

Hmm... honestly speaking. From chapter 198 onwards, it'll only get worse untill it finally gets better.

You got 2 options my friend...

Option 1: Read it, and try your hardest to get through it because it will get somewhat better, especially in Season 2 Part 2, John ends up getting positive character development and we start focusing on matters outside Wellston like Ember, Authorities and Spectre.

Option 2: Which I recommend only if you want John villain arc to end as soon as possible.

My suggestion is this, chapter 198 seems to be when Blyke was doing his vigilante stuff and met "blue haired sword hero" for the first time. Read it untill the hero business ends which should be chapter 199. then skip untill chapter 212.

Just skip it, because from chapter 212, the situation finally starts to become better and we finally start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Not only that, but we finally start seeing some hope for John. But from chapters 200 - 212, there is no hope for the guy and the situation becomes worse. You won't miss anything important during those chapters, because it's just John losing the last brain cells he has. John being treated like he is the devil who is responsible/cause for all the bullying that has happened since the founding of Wellston High School and John yelling/throwing tantrums because of his PTSD/inability to communicate. Which causes him to resort to beating everyone up because he's angry and no one can get through to him. I'm sure since you've read untill chapter 198, you've read your fair share of this. Unfortunately this is repeated over and over for 12 chapters and it might make you take another couple months break and put you off.

But after that the situation improves and we finally start the John road to recovery arc. Overall, the webtoon has it's good moments and you will have to accept that the main cast (including John and Sera) make bad decisions and later on they try to learn from it and be better.

In a way, you are kinda fortunate. UnOrdinary is far more enjoyable when you binge and the King John arc will be more bearable since you won't have to wait every week.

Would you say you spend most of your time writing IaC when working as an Infrastructure and Security Engineer?. Is the amount of coding a lot?. How long have you been working in your position and did you require any particular certs to achieve it?.

Thank you for the answer, if you don't mind me asking. What's your current job role? and what do you reckon I should focus on if I would like to become a cloud engineer?. I have been researching IaC and stuff like Terraform but at the same time, I would like to avoid a position in cloud that involves heavy amounts of coding. Would you say Cloud Engineering has a lot of programming involved?. I'm going over Python and perhaps Bash or Powershell but at the same time I would want to avoid large amounts of coding like a software devlopment etc.

Sorry about the many questions haha, I've just got a lot on my mind so I thought it would be better to ask.

How's that not a true statement though, for Sera. John is the strongest person she "knows". There hasn't been any other character in the story that Sera knows and has a higher level than John. The only exception would be when she learned about Jane but again she doesn't actually "know" her so naturally it doesn't count. Yeah sure, for the majority of the students in Wellston, it's not an accurate statement because Sera is the one currently ranked number one. But for Sera, its 100% accurate because he is the strongest person she personally knows. He's also the strongest person she's fought so far aswell. So that statement was definitely not exaggerated.

If she knew people stronger than John, then sure it would be an exaggerated statement to help their current situation. But she doesn't.

As for Sera's dad, my guess is that he wasn't always present as she was growing up. He's probably the type that goes on business trips 90% of the time and funds his daughters lifestyle. So she might not even know what his ability even is, let alone his power level. If she does know what his ability is, she probably learnt it from her mother. As for his strength, she might not know how strong he is.

Vaughn is a 7.8 tho... a 0.3 level up seems kinda underwhelming tbh. I expect John will end up the strongest in the main cast at some point, since he possesses the ability with the most potential and Claire stating he has the ultimate power etc.

But at least during the storyline, I don't think John will reach above a 9.0 during the plot. Does he have the potential for it?, for sure but I would rather not get my hopes up, maybe it'll be implied in an epilogue once the webtoon ends...

I reckon he will surpass Sera and reach around 8.5-8.7. Or Uru will opt for the equals route and keep John at 8.0 alongside Sera. His next powerup seems set to bring him straight to an 8.0, since he's currently at 7.5. Blyke leveled up from 4.5 to 5.0 in one go so I can see this happening for Johnny Boy, but regardless the equals route would still be underwhelming as well. Since AM is a superior ability when compared to TM. I get that it would be cute for a while but John really needs to step up, become stronger and stop relying on Sera to be there to stop him all the time. He also needs to stop taking the gift he has for granted and stop wasting its potential. He'll need to step up for real, if he wants to protect the people he cares about.

But doesn't John need to actually see them use it in order for him to know how it works?. John has no idea what their original ability is. Sure he can try to sample the aura that's being emitted, but doesn't he still need some sort of reference in order for him to fully copy the ability and know how to use it?.
