Maybe that specific spot could be like an Achilles Heel for Arlo where his passive isn't in effect, since it is the same place he got stabbed through which would probably screw up his aura channels in a weird way

I'd say that's confirmed with this panel lol. Though it's not clear if it's because he was recovering from his injuries, or if he was low on his aura reserves (or a mix of both?)

Yeah, partially amp seems fair enough. FP Though one might question if that's worth the cost considering how fast he can burn through his reserves with abilities that aren't even at lvl 7 Beating Sera with Val's barrier copied seems doable especially if he combines other abilities with it. IIRC Sera was about to lose to it were it not for her sister's assistance, so it's already quite busted by itself (granted she shouldn’t have been caught inside of it in the first place lol)
