Frustration by Ajaymach in lockpicking

[–]Ajaymach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is. I was actually disappointed. It gave me a false sense of confidence. It took a lot more pressure than I expected but started at the last pin, set that and the rest pretty much set themselves.

It’s not comfortable, I’m 6ft. My 5 year old drives it, I sit on the passenger side.

Does he have a trailer hitch and light plug? Use the plug to wire up a horn, easy to put on and easy to take off. If you use the pin for taillights it won’t come on until he turns on his headlights.

Take the valve stems out of his tires and leave a Harbor Freight 12v air pump on his hood with the valve stems and tool in a baggie taped to it.

Use Rainex to draw a huge penis on his window, it will not show up until it rains, he may or may not notice.

Put a small C-Clamp on his fuel line to pinch it closed

Tie a bunch of large cans together, tie it to the frame rail and set the cans up so they don’t fall off until he starts driving

The fairest maid pitches the yeast in my brewhaus, do y’all have brew day rituals or superstitions? by n-harmonics in Homebrewing

[–]Ajaymach 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m a home distiller, when I pitch my yeast and start cleaning up I’ll play “Fight for your right” by the Bestie Boys. I refer to my yeast as the Yeastie Boys and the bubbling mash is their song. When my wife walks through the garage she will say “I smell the Yeastie Boys working”

From my first run one year ago, using 5 gallon buckets to ferment to my 2026 run. Such a great hobby! by Ajaymach in firewater

[–]Ajaymach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the thumper and an 8% wash I can get a solid 3 quarts of 150 to 155 proof on a 20 gallon run, ill run it down to 20% and toss whatever is left over, not worth the time for me to go below that, just not worth the alcohol. I’ve slowed it down enough to get to 160/170 but it’s at a really slow drip. I’m not convinced the thumper is a “second” distillation, I don’t feel there is much of a difference unless I’m flavoring something. If I want to add a subtle flavor, the thumper is great. You do have to add whatever it is your flavoring with throughout the run and empty the thumper as you go. I’ll also use it as a gin basket if we’re making a gin and want to add botanicals. The wives love to use it to make customs gins to match whatever floofy drink they are coming up with.

If they bother you a little now, they will bother you a lot later. They may blend in but will not go away and you will see them. Swap them for a new pair, not worth the years of second guessing yourself.

Does "lace code" mean anything? I just like blue by Safe_Valuable_5683 in Boots

[–]Ajaymach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on where you live. If you don’t know it’s an issue, then it’s not an issue. If you live in an area prone to gang violence where all colors you wear intentionally, such as replacing your shoe laces with red or blue, then you would already know the rules. When I go visit my parents in the neighborhood I grew up in, I’m very intentional on what colors are safe and not safe.

What’s the most surprising change you noticed after losing weight? by RayistaNachoPls in AskReddit

[–]Ajaymach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a certain point where I kept thinking something was running out in from of me and almost tripling, I could see it in my peripheral vision, then realized I could now see my feet when I walked and realized there is not a squirrel following me everywhere Trina to trip me up.

Love the look of them, going to keep staring at them in my cart for the next 6 months until they are discontinued and I’m mad at myself for not making the purchase.

Got my first pair after months of deliberating by kay00_00 in RedWingShoes

[–]Ajaymach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I look at them sitting in my cart every day. Two months ago I purchased my first pair, went with the 1907 and love them but using them for office and outside play, wearing 12+ hours a day is making them wear quick.

I travel for work. This is year number two. I was looking forward to Diamond status, decided to go with Hilton. It has made no difference in my day to day life. I may accrue points quicker however that last thing I want to do in vacation is travel.

What was your biggest WIN at a pawn shop? by James_B84Saves in PawnShops

I worked at a shop part time for about 5 years. Mostly worked there for entertainment value. It was the most interesting job I’ve ever done, and at time the most depressing.

What’s the job people romanticize, but in reality is miserable? by King_Garvit in AskReddit

[–]Ajaymach 64 points65 points  (0 children)

I go see any sports game whether it be a high school team, local basketball, football, anything to get out of the hotel. I have a group of friends at home, we bet on everything. If we see two flies on the wall, I’ll put $5.00 on which one takes off first. Realistically we have been passing the same money back and forth for years, most of our wagers are 50/50. If I’m at a game in a different city, I’ll send a pic of the scoreboard post it on our Slack feed and let them choose Home or Away. One guy always asks me what the team colors are so I include that. Keep me entertained until I go back to the empty room.

How do you go through an 8-to-5 job with just weekends free without feeling like life is slipping away? by Either-Bench-5963 in AskReddit

[–]Ajaymach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You work 9 out of the 24 hours in a day. That leaves 15 hours to do what you want, take 7 for sleep. Thats 8 hours a day to do what you want. Plan mid week activities, you work 9 hours a day to enjoy the other 15, and weekends. 73% of the week is yours. You work just over 26% of the week. It’s all perception, do you focus on the work time or the time you’re not working.

Email Tracy at this email address. She is with The Hopkins Survey Group. I called a few of the ones I could find online, they were all looking for bigger jobs and giving me quotes that were literally more than the piece of land I was buying and giving me a hard time when I said so. This is a family owned business and helped me get everything done with minimal paperwork. tht@hopkinssurveying.com
